Someone gave us an excellent idea on this board to order sandwiches for our day at the Bahamas. Can I order sandwiches first thing in the morning or should I order them the night before?

We ordered room service the night before and packed the sandwiches in zip lock bags that we brought from home. You are technically not supposed to take food off of the ship. There was a post a while back where someone tried to order room service the morning of for lunch on shore and was told she could not do that. We still had to go through the security measure getting of the ship in St Thomas but no one said anything about our lunch.
Don't forget your baggies!

You can also make things from the breakfast buffet the morning of. Fresh rolls and bread, bacon, peanut butter and jelly, cups of yogurt and fresh fruits. Don't forget to pack a small soft sided cooler, plastic zip baggies a few in different sizes, plastic forks and spoons just a few and bottled water. If you order sandwiches the night before as SC Minnie suggest you'll get chips. Don't forget they'll need their own baggie. Mayo may make your sandwich soggy ask for that on the side and place it on in the morning.

You can also get lay's potato chips at Pluto's Dog House. They are individuual bags so no need to worry about soggy chips.

We ordered breakfast and lunch for 5 all at once the morning we docked at St. Thomas--no problem. Our room steward was also happy to provide a bag of ice for our cooler :).
Happy cruising!

Ginger, We have alway's been able to get small packaged lays bbq chips at Castaway Cay( No plain) at Cookies BBQ. We sailed in January and they had the small (plain) bags of lays chips at Pluto's Dog House. They were at the station where you fix your hamburgers with the ketchup. tomatoes, lettuce etc. They has a large basket of them. We picked up a few extra to pack for lunch to take ashore. I loved this convenience. We sail again Oct 10th. I hope they still have them.
