Has anyone heard of anything of Ritz.com

I found a good deal of a nikon d40 with the 15-200 lens and i wanted to know has anybody heard anything about the site

They are the online version of the Ritz/Wolf Camera retail stores found in most malls. I personally think their prices are still high.

Try checking www.adorama.com, www.beachcamera.com, www.amazon.com, or www.bhphoto.com for better pricing.

Well they had a deal that for the nikon and the extra lens is 599.99 that is one of the best deal that i have found when looking

I got my D60 from Ritz.com. Everything was delivered before or right when they said it would. I don't have a bad thing to say about them. I would order from them again!

If you are worried about ordering it from the internet try a ritz store, they usually have the same sale price and you get to walk out with your camera. I only did it online because you don't have to pay the tax.

Most likely the lens that you are looking at included with the kit is the Ritz brand lens, (they used to be made by Sigma, I have no idea who on earth makes them now). They are not bad lenses, and will be fine for 90% of the people out there. As much as I would like to assume I am one of those 10%ers, I sadly, probably am not.
I used to work at Ritz (many many moons ago) and they are a good store, but it is possible to get some things slightly cheaper elsewhere (i like B & H) but the biggest advantage is getting to go into the store and actually look instead of buying over the net.

Nikon was running a package special on the D40 You could select the non vr or vr version of the lens. It went through July 6th. Ritz, B&H, even Costco had the kit options. They went away on the 7th.

I got the VR kit for my business partner for a work anniversary. Great deal. The same thing today is about $200 higher now.

I was standing at the counter at Target getting my WiiSki game and they had the D40 kit with the two lenses for normal price at $599. I don't know if they were the same lenses from Ritz, but I thought of you when I saw it. :)

Thanks everyone i ordered my camera and got it yesterday night and it is awesome i love my camera ir i would ever order anything online again i would first go onto Ritz.com
