I was just speaking to member services the other day and I was telling her about my plans for next year. I indicated that we were planning on staying only a few days at OKW and the remainder at Vero. She told me that it will be very difficult to get ressies for a 1 bedroom at Vero for the week before Easter at the 7 month window. Is this true? Has anyone tried to get a ressie at Easter for Vero at the 7 month window? She said that a studio is no problem, it is just the suites that are the problem.

I don't know for sure but I'd assume MS has a grip on the occupancy. You are talking about "prime" Vero season -- March/April is the real tourist season for non-WDW Florida. Also, Vero is just not that large a resort to absorb all the WDW-DVC folks.
That said -- you never know until you try. I'd have a back-up plan in place and then give it your best shot for those ressies. It has to work out for someone -- why not you?

I am on the waitlist for August 2002. I called exactly at 7 months. I thought August was slower for VB.....guess not!

Rich,
I thought VB and HH were mistakes by DVC????:D It appears some people must like VB and HH. Glad we have the 11 month window there also.;)

By the way, my guide told me that Hilton Head is almost sold out.

Best mistake we ever made.:)LOL
I agree! I love the "Disney touch" of HH and VB, without all of the attractions.
The biggest attraction is the nightly campfire and smores!!
We got a 1 bedroom at Vero for five days in mid July at six months out. I was a little surprised that we got in.
I reserved an Inn Room last year at only 6 weeks ahead. I guess you have to be lucky enough to be reserving when soemone else might be cancelling. We were told only one unit was available at the time.

Depending on when Easter falls, March is probably hard at the 7 mo window. My husband and I bought Vero because he is a big dodger fan and March is spring training and you need home resort advantage to go then.
