Question for DVC Experts

Are the villas more popular in the summer months compared to the other resorts? I mean...I know all of the resort is pretty packed in the summer, but are the villas especially more popular because of families traveling together in the summer. How difficult is it to find availability in a typical June if one starts to look in the early winter?

Actually, summer is a bit easier than many other seasons for DVC.

Yes - it seems the "experts" know not to come during the miserably hot & humid summer & find ways to take more pleasant family vacations. There are also alot of dvc members who don't have kids at home! The peak times for dvc villas to fill up are Oct/Nov/Dec & the major holidays (easter, christmas)

We were able to book OKW at the 7 month window for a stay in June of 2006- 1br for a week with no problem. I didn't ask about any other resorts because we were interested in trying out OKW-and we loved it!
