Followin on from me theme of not talkin Disney all the time, it occurs to me that we all help each other with 'where to stay' and 'how to get there' stuff but we all have a wealth of knowledge for our own areas of UK and those we love to visit.

Talkin to some mates last weekend about a proposed weekend break it transpires that I can be just as borin about me knowledge of North York Moors as I can about Sunderland and Durham!

So, the idea is, if you are plannin a trip to somewhere in UK and want ideas of where to go and what to visit post it here and we'll all see what we can do.

So where do yer want to go?- a new thread for each destination please.

Great idea, Dave. I will probably end up embarassing myself with my total lack of knowledge of Gloucester. Having said that, can't imagine anyone wanting to visit anyway ;)

Good idea BB! :)

Well, I can help out (I think!!) with London and the Southampton/New Forest (Hampshire) parts of the UK.

Just ask away - but like Deb, I could then well set myself up for showing a complete lack of knowledge on both areas!!

ps. Have read and re-read the second sentence above and am still not convinced it makes sense (hope you understand what I'm trying to say because I don't anymore!!) :)

Great Idea Dave - we have spent lots of weekends at different parts of the Country and have some great guidebooks etc so would be able to help out with lots of area's.

If anyone wants to travel to Canvey Island - find them a straight jacket!!!!!!! ;) Har de Har :D :D
