My Totally AWESOME Disney Savings Game Board

Hi all, this is my first post on this board. I just wanted to share this game board I made to keep us up with saving money for our next WDW vacation.

Sorry about the glare but hopefully you can see it. I used the Behr Disney paint samples for the spaces and my Disney picture/day calendar and a coloring book for decoration. The game piece that you can kind of see in the top left corner is flying money.. I found the picture in one of DH's birthday cards and thought it would be a perfect game piece. The quote at the top says "Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy." which, in case you don't know, is posted at the MK. Thanks everyone!

Thanks for your interest! Basically, each Mickey head represents a c or bonus. Whenever we get paid, we put that amount of money in our trusty glass water bottle (so we can't take it out without breaking it). When we hit specified places on the game board, we buy something we need for vacation (plane tickets, clothes, camera, La Nouba tickets, etc...). When I get things I need for vaca. it makes me a little less anxious. Anyway, it's pretty simple but hopefully it helps keep us on track.

I LOVE THIS IDEA!!! DH and I are planning a trip in May for the Princess Race which is my goal for losing weight. I love this idea and think it will def be a BIG inspiration and motivator for losing weight, and it's a creative thing to do with all those mickey heads lying around lol:idea: :woohoo:

I love it...so colorful! I agree, my savings went into a small bucket from work, I think it had roasted garlic hummus in it at some point. I drew a mickey head on it though, does that count?:lmao:
