I see many people refering to adding 50, 75 or maybe100 pts at a resort other than their original purchase in order to take advantage of the 11 month window at another resort. I might have missed something but...how does this help if I own 150 at VWL and add 75 more at BCV? How does that 75 points help me get anything more than 75 points worth of accomodations at 11 months at BCV. I'm sure I'm not phrasing my question too well but if anyone can shed some light...If you can understand what I'm asking...

In our case we added on at VB (110 pts). With banking and borrowing we have accesss to 220 pts every other year at VB, with the 11 month window.. Or we can go every 3rd year and have 330 pts to use. Hope this helps a little.

I wasn't thinking of that...Now I'm getting the picture...I never ever thought I would even think of adding on but...I'm starting to wonder. Um!

Not to twist the topic (of course you can see what's coming  ), but we are adding on 50 at HH through resale right now! We have tried 3 straight years to get on property during the summer at the 7 month window and failed... I WILL GET THERE THIS TIME! :D . The 50 (this year banked), plus 50 (next year), plus 50 (borrowed from the 3rd year if necessary) will let me finally get in with an 11 month booking!!!
That said, I have often heard people say resales are not the way to go with add on's, but I am finding this to be GREAT. I have asked seller to pay closing costs, so I am getting off about $7 cheaper per point than DIS charges.
If I had to pay the closing costs it wouldn't be worth it..
