Checking Interest: 3x5 photomat swap

We all have scraps that are too big to toss and too small to do much with. Especially after the 8x8 pages swaps.

I'm looking to see if there is interest in a 3x5 photomat. Use your stash. The mats in one bag must match, but not necessarily the whole group.

How many mats per person? Any other sizes?

Please post your ideas.

The standard two per person if for a 3x5 photo, four per person for the 2x3 wallet size photo or a combo one 3x5 and two 2x3?
Maybe larger than normal groups - 10 swappers?

Sounds good to me - or how about a "random mat" group for all those croppped pics, or they could be used to mount toppers or other things:thumbsup2 I've got an A4 ziplock FULL of scraps, so full I've had to put some of them back in other places :blush:

2 - 3x5 mats, or 1 3x5 and 2 2x3 sounds good to me. Double matted, embellished 2 ways.

Just to clarify -- a 3x5 photo -- so the mat layers would start at 3 1/4 x 5 1/4. For 2x3 photo, layers start at 2 1/4 x 3 1/4.

Group size -- 10 sounds fine.


Anyone else interested?

Thoughts on the timing of this? Late October or early November might be good. This wouldn't be very labor intensive and it should be a cheap swap if you are using your stash.

Are you embellishing in anyway or just the mats?

Oh another idea if you want more sizes. What is the size of the CM mini picfolio? The one that looks like a wallet. These would be perfect for that and you could give them as gifts for the holidays!

ETA: looks like they are 2x3, Mazda can you confirm that?

ETA again: this size is Disney only......But it's sooooo cute!!!

I am going to check out the CM picfolio you mentioned. I am not familiar with it.

I was thinking standard 2 ways embellished, 2 mats. Maybe a 3rd layer would count as 1 embellishment.

Mini picfolio does come in non-Disney as well - sometimes they do a double pack in two colourways. Yes, they're 2x3 (that's what it says on the brochure) but i don't have one to check the mat size as I've only done them for gifts. My scrap circle meets today and one of the girls bought one she didn't complete, so if its in the bottom of ehr bag I'll check it. Otherwise I'll rummage later and confirm.
