Who's up for a challenge?

So, my husband calls me this afternoon and tells me he is going to Orlando for a business trip the first weekend in May. . . well, how can I let him go without me? However, if I went with him, it would have to be a VERY quick and inexpensive trip. We would have to leave Thursday night or Friday morning and I would need to come back Sunday night, or Monday. I'm a school teacher, so I doubt that I could get more than a day off.
Here's the challenge: can you help me find cheap airfare from HSV, BHM, or BNA to MCO for May 2 through May 5? Southwest airlines has sold out of there "friends fly free" for my dates :( , but they appear to have the lowest rate that I can find (around $200/person). Does anyone have time to kill to help me, or do you have any other suggestions? :confused: :rolleyes: :)

Hi, I tried www.orbitz.com and came up with these: HSV: $219 R/T; BHM: $172 R/T; BNA: $185 R/T. I did not look at the times but just the figures; there were lots of flights, though, most through Delta, I believe. If you have not used Orbitz before, they waive the fee the first time, so that would be your price. Orbitz is owned by Delta, United, and some other airlines that I can't remember. We got our trip this year through them; I found the best prices there and I did call the airlines and we were on their manifest.

I would recommend trying Hotwire (http://www.hotwire.com) or Priceline (http://www.priceline.com). They're good for when you have to go and dont care how :)

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions, I'm still searching. . .can't really find the miracle that I'm looking for just yet thought. But I love and appreciate all the help people are willing to give on these boards.:)

From the looks of it right now, David will be the only one making it to Disney in a few weeks.:rolleyes: But the whole family has a trip planned for October 5 - 12 of this year.:D :cool: Can't wait for that one! Funny you should reply. . . David and I were just talking about you two this morning and how we envied you being retired with a few timeshares in Florida ;) .
