View Full Version : Ever have this happen?
We were at FW in May and little did we know, we came home with a hitchhiker. Yesterday, I was out doing some routine work on our 5r and took the back vent off the frig. Low and behold there were four little eggs! It appears we picked up one of those little lizards down there and she laid her eggs inside the frig compartment! The eggs have all hatched and I have no clue if they have gotten inside the walls or not. My guess is they went back out and I don't think they can live in OH because it's too chilly for them, but in all the years of camping this is a first for us. I'm not sure there's anything I can do about keeping critters out either because the frig vent has to be open to allow air to circulate. Has anyone else ever brought creatures home with them (other than ants)?

We had a stow away from our trip in June. We saw a lizard sitting on top of our futon! I was so freaked out. And I knew it wouldn't survive in Pa. Luckily we managed to get rid of him before we got home. What did the eggs look like? I'm curious because we found something "unidentifiable" under our sink!

No lizards, but we put our TT at the lake for a month and brought home a zillion ants.

We were just at the fort and the little birdies decided that they were going to make a nest in the bottom pouch of the jogging stroller. It was very difficult to explain to the EPCOT security what exactly it was and why it was there on our last day. I couldn't figure out why all the little birdies kept coming underneath the awning, but we soon found out! I should have taken a picture, but didn't think of it until later on!

When I came back from central america, our duffle bags were lined up and fumigated. I got an email from the Veterinarian that was there with us after she got home - she opened her bag and two very large (and dead) tarantulas fell out.

We brought home a pizza once when they where still good.
The eggs were small, round and white. Looked like the size of peas. The shells were very fragile. I tried to just pick them up and get them out and they broke--much more fragile than bird eggs. Guess on the bright side, if it is still living I shouldn't have any ants or bugs in there because that's what they eat! :rotfl:

They had so much muddy water on board that nothing dared live on them.
