I'm hearing a lot on the other boards about something called Moleskin which prevents blisters. Is there anywhere in the UK that I can buy it or is this just an American thing? Already checked Boots and no luck there.

You can get moleskin from some uk chemists. It is sticky on one side and a thick fluffy like material on the outside you just cut it to whatever size you need. It goes every where with me on holiday!!!! A must have in hot weather.

Sod micropore/moleskin and plasters - you need body glide! It's a life saver honestly.
I read about it on another board and would never go anywhere without it now.
It's like a little stick deodorant and you rub it all over your feet where you would normally get any blisters. I got mine from a running shop on ebay.;)

we can it mircopore,
I bought some on my last trip, it's very different from micropore - more like chiropody felt. You can stick it on vulnerable parts of your foot or to the shoe itself. I've seen it on sale over here but it didn't seem as thick as the stuff I bought in America (then again perhaps it comes in different thicknesses).
Here's a link to the scholl site

ETA I can't get to the page I want, so select foot&shoe comfort and then padding to see the products.

I got it from the chiropodists. You can now get Bodyglide at Boots on foot shelf.

It's worth considering if you do get blisters.
In this case I would recommend Compeed Blister Plasters. They're pretty expensive, but work brilliantly on even the worst blisters - I know from experience!

I've read that Body Glide is also really good for thighs that rub together too. Stops the chafing and soreness! :)
I think i'll be taking it on holiday with me! :thumbsup2
