I just hung up the phone after leaving a message for the Podcast Crew. It only took 2 tries to record it... UGH!

My fingers are crossed I get some air time!!

Pete, you totally have my permission to laugh at my nervousness and call me at home to catch me off guard. LOL!

I called in last week too, but mine was not played. I wonder what their criteria is???

I think it really just depends on whether or not your question/comments fall in line with the items they plan on discussing. For instance, this month they were specifically looking for ones pertaining to the holidays in keeping with the "Christmas in July" theme. But you also have to keep in mind that they receive more and more calls/emails each month as the show gains in popularity...so there's probably lots to choose from.

Just keep trying and one day you'll get a nice surprise! :goodvibes

I just called in for the first time, too! :jumping1: The difference is I literally re-recorded 6 times!! By the end, I was downright exhausted, LOL. Anyways, good luck to both of us. :thumbsup2

I hope your voicemail is played; I can't wait to hear it! I know exactly what you mean about being nervous; I recorded myself multiple times on Audacity before actually calling in... :thumbsup2

When I called in I put my entire "speech" down on paper first and read thru it. It seemed to go off okay other than I felt like I was reading a little fast. That and I hate the way I sound since I have a lisp....

Anyway, I found putting it on paper helped get thru it the first shot.

I put mine on paper too, but still managed to goof it up.... My question was more of a segment suggestion. Fingers crossed!!

I always say the same thing...that I have a lisp, which has kept me from the voice mail thing, but people think I'm nuts, apparently no one hears it but me. :confused3

I'm sure you sounded great Don, can't wait to listen!

I honestly did not hear any lisp at all. :confused3
