HI,

We are planning our first ever cruise. We are thinking about the December 8th 4 day cruise. We are wondering what we can expect with the weather at that time of year. I would appreciate any opinions about cruising that time of year.

Thanks for your help.

We did the seven day eastern last Dec. 8th and are going on the seven day western this Dec.7th. The weather in the caribbean and castaway cay was beautiful 80's into the evening. Floriday was ok but not as warm, maybe 70's? We came from Ma. where it was 30 so to us it was delightful. If you check on Dave's website there are weather links and you can check the historical data of where you will be. December is a great time to go on the ship (we liked it much better than when we went in april) as it is Decorated so beautifully for christmas. We did our christmas card photos infront of their two story tree!

Hi!
Congratulations on planning your first cruise. My advice is to go for it. We took the 3 day Wonder 12/6/01 and had a wonderful trip. 4 adults celebrating brother in law's 50th birthday after spending 5 days at P.O. Riverside.

The weather was great. We are also from MA, so high 80's was heaven to us. I know that this past winter was especially mild, but even if the weather is bad, I bet you would still have a wonderful trip. Castaway Cay was absolutely gorgeous. Nassau was no big deal. We went to Atlantis to gamble for a few hours but would probably stay on the ship if we ever went there again.

We had 2 adjoining cat 6 rooms with verandah's and were very pleased with the service we received.

We booked the 7 day eastern carribean Jan. 25, 2003 and we are so excited and having a blast planning all the excursions etc.

All four of us have very different ideas of "fun" and each of us enjoyed everything about the cruise. My brother in law even came in 2nd in the John Travolta dance contest!

Have a wonderful time.

We have done the seven day eastern and the four day bahamas cruises in that time period and have another planned for the future. We love that time of year on the cruise. Never have seen rain and the weather is always in the high 70's to mid-80s. Seas are smooth too. Also, the ship is much less crowded so you really can spread out on board. You have made a great choice for your first cruise.

It's funny that I read your post just after I looked at the "Unofficial Cruise List". I was beginning to think that I'd have the ship to myself on that cruise!

I haven't cruised at that time of year, but it's my favorite time to go to WDW--great weather, and smaller crowds than usual because all the Thanksgiving tourists are gone and the Christmas tourists haven't gotten there yet.

We have a category 11 room on deck 6. I can't wait!
