My dd brownie troup did a project where they took Paperwhite bulbs put them in a dish with stones. They grew really tall and have flowers now. Can I plant them outside? I'm not much of a gardener and, frankly, had never heard of Paperwhites before. They have a really strong, sweet smell.

As long as they are in bloom, you should be able to plant them outdoors. They are in the Daffodil family (I believe), and like sunny spots. They are perennial, and will come back year after year. After they are done blooming, you should cut off any dead flowers or stems.

Thanks Pete. And I'm jealous of that comment you made about living in Florida that you can have a garden year round.:(
Don't you miss NJ just a little? :D
