confused about AP plus DDP

I know that AP holders can now get the room discount plus pay to have the DP. Here's what I don't know. If only I have the AP can I buy the DP for everyone in my party even if they don't have the AP? Then I could buy them cheaper tickets elsewhere, like Undercover Tourist, instead of through Disney. OR, do I have to buy them each at least a 1 day ticket as is required for those who don't have AP? I hope you understand my question.:confused3

You need one adult AP at checkin. That is good for DDP for everyone on the reservation.

Actually, everyone on the reservation must get the DDP. No tickets required.

My understanding is you do not have to buy MYW passes for anyone under your AP ticketless res.
