I am book for cruise on Magic for 8/24 we have a cag. 3 cabin. It will be myself, my daughter and son in law & their girls ages 8 yr and 1 yr. Here's my problem, they recently were given custody of my other grandaughter, age 3. We had TA call to add her to our cruise and were told that they couldn't add another person to our cabin..We were of course wiling to pay, but were told no, cabin was at max, amount of people. Since 3 people would be children does anyone have any sugggestions as to what we could do?? Maybe someone knows away around this. We hate to leave the 3 yr old w/ other relative, and we are open to any suggestions?????

Sorry to hear of your unfortunate predicament. I have never known DCL to break the rules regarding cabin capacity. If they did, even for children, it would lay the foundation for future rule breaking. I don't know your exact circumstances, but might it be possible to leave the 1 yr old with a relative? I only suggest this because IF everyone can not go, the youngest probably would not miss the experience as much as the others.
Best of luck to you!

You might consider changing your reservations to 2 category 5 or 6 adjoining rooms. That would give you a maximum capacity of either 6 or 8. Category 3 staterooms are pricey, so you might find that 2 category 6 staterooms might come out to about the same price. You would also then have 2 queen beds, more comfortable for the 3 adults and then all of the kids would have their own beds and not have to share. We cruised last year with 4 adults and 3 kids and we booked 2 category 6 staterooms, we were very comfortable.

Your TA has probably already asked DCL about upgrading to a Category 2 or even to a Category 1? They sleep 7.
As others have posted, the only other choice is to move to more than one cabins in a lower category.
Good luck.
