I was kind of depressed since I have been looking forward to this, but the good news is the reason I had to cancel. I'm pregnant. It seems we relaxed so much on our first cruise in January, that I got pregnant when we came home. We've been married 7 years next month and this is our first baby. We've been trying to get pregnant for a while, and it looks like the cruise did it. I'm so excited. Continental is even letting me use the money we paid for our airfare for next year's trip without a penalty even though I bought non-refundable tickets. I have a 7 day Western cruise book for October 2003 so I can use the airfare then. That was a total shocker. They're even waiving all reissue fees that I would have to pay. They said they did this due to the reason I had to cancel.

Congrats! You could be in a DCL commercial. Have you seen the commercial they are running now where the little girl is telling everyone in the elevator about her trip on the Disney Magic and she says that her Mom & Dad call her new baby brother their little souvenier from their trip? It's too cute!

thanks for all the good wishes. I can't wait for the event. Does anyone think that the baby will be too little to go on the cruise (it'll be 11 months old). Thanks for all the replies.

at 11 months he/she will be good to cruise ... I think infants must be 12 weeks old ... Congratulations on your pregnancy ... I can't think of any better reason to cancel a Disney Cruise ...

Similar thing happened to me! Dh and I went to Hawaii in '95 for a relaxing vacation, the first we'd had in 4 years. Within 6 weeks of getting home, I was pregnant! We had also been trying for awhile. Hawaii holds a special place in my heart, along side my sweet ds who will be 6 in July.
Good luck!

Congratulations!!!!
We sailed with an 8 month old and he loved it. Between the pool, and the attention he got from our servers, he was all set! :)

CONGRATS!
We too are in the same position. We were dismayed to learn we couldn't even book the $99 cruise since Baby #2 is due in the fall. Oh well...It's a good rerason not to go though....

Since you have Disney to thank, well, sort of, think of all the cool Disney related names you could use.....Ariel Belle? Christopher Robin? Just please, no Goofy...

I feel your pain there. :) After our second awesome 7-day cruise in September of 2001, my Husband and I were planning to take another 7-day this fall, but had to give up that idea due to a case of baby. We are totally thrilled with the reason that we had to cancel (I actually got pregnant about three weeks after our cruise), but it is so sad to realize that I'm going to have a WHOLE DCL free year. UGH! I might go into withdrawl! :)
We are planning a cruise for 2003 in the fall, so at least that is something to look forward to! Boo (the nickname for the baby) will be one then!
Congrats!!!

Congratulations! :bounce:
That is wonderful. It's nice to log on here and read some cheery news. Just think though, you'll have two extra special things to look forward to next year, how neat and you will be so occupied with the thought of a new baby coming the time will go so fast. I have four ranging from 11 to 21 and each of my pregnacies went by quickly.
Have Fun!

Piglet33--
First of all CONGRATULATIONS! Secondly, what date were you booked to go? I dilly-dallied too long and could not get our first choice of dates to take our $99 cruise (10/10/02) and had to settle for wait-list for that date and book the 9/5 3 night cruise. Thought maybe if you canceled a $99 booking on the 10/10 cruise that I could squeeze in there.
I want so badly to change our date!!!!

pmgreene - We were booked for the 10/17-10/20 cruise. Sorry it wasn't the 10/10 one. Maybe you'll get lucky and that date will become available.
WebMaster Michelle - We are actually going to take the Western Carribbean next October. So the baby will be about 11 months old and taking his/her first cruise. I don't know what the first year with the baby will be like, but I figured we're probably going to need a relaxing vacation and what better way than to do a Disney Cruise! I can't wait to bring the baby to see Mickey.
Thanks for all the good wishes. You guys are the best!
