Hi.

I want to make a reservation at OKW from Sun 3rd May 2009 for 13nights.
Can anyone help me out as to when I can ring Member Services and request the reservation?
Saratoga Springs is my home resort but I want to try out Okw next year and am totally confused with when I can call.

many thanks

You can make a reservation for the first 7 nights exactly 7 months from check in date which would makie it October 3rd then 7 days on from then you can call and add a further 6 nights, or I think you can call day by day after that until the 13 nights are complete.

Yes you can call day by day - this is from the FAQ on the DVC site:

Q: What if a Member would like to reserve more than 7 consecutive nights at the start of the Home Resort Priority booking period?
A: This can be accomplished in more than one way. A Member may call at the start of the reservation booking period to reserve the first 7 nights, and then add to the reservation one night at a time until they reach their desired check-out date. Or, a Member may wait until 11 months and 7 days from their desired check-out date to reserve the entire length of stay in one call.

Although it refers to Home Resort I presume it would be the same for the 7 month window.

I'm going to pop this over to UK DVC.

I think you can still only book 7 months from checkout as OKW is not your home resort. You could still book Day by Day though. If it helps OKW is a large resort which should make it easier to get in at 7 months.

The new policy applies across the board so it is 11 months from check-in at Home Resort and 7 months from check-in at all other DVC resorts.

If you really want to go then, i would book your home resort at the 11months then try for OKW at the 7. You would hate it if you had no back up plan and failed to get in when you wanted to go.

Totally agree, we booked SSR at our 11 month window, would like to transfer to OKW, but as yet, nothing is available. Possibly due to the fact I would like a Grand Villa! Will still be completely happy with SSR though!
