View Full Version : What could you fit in Freezer in a studio?

We are new DVC owners at AKL and will be heading out to stay at akl for 6 nights in a studio and 6 nights in 1 br at Beach club on 7/20.

For all you experts who already stayed in a dvc studio-could you tell me how big the freezer is? Is it bigger than the ones in the non dvc hotel rooms?

Can you fit a box of frozen waffles etc? We want to eat breakfeast in the room and are trying to find out what it will hold.

As I remember it, the freezer compartment is very tiny. Perhaps just over a ice cube tray in height. If you took the waffles out of the box they would probably fit. It is seriously not big at all!

I took this picture of my refrigerator at AKV in May. I was in a standard view studio, but I think all studios have this size.

I can usually get about 5 bottles of water in mine (the 20oz ones).

Just to add frozen items don't stay frozen for long, esp ice cream!

Wow, Simba's mom, that looks bigger than I remember. Last one I saw was at Hilton Head. Maybe the newer ones are a big bigger.

We had the same style of fridge as Simba's Mom in our Savannah view studio in May :)

The moderate and deluxe non-DVC rooms don't have a freezer section in the refrigerator. Those are smaller than the refrigerators in DVC studios.

Same one we had during our AKV stay in January. However, I think the frigs at the AKV are much smaller than other WDW DVC studios. The frig at the AKV don't even fill the openning.

I think the AKV fridge was actually bigger.

Just remembered that the counter area was alot bigger at AKV hence why the fridge may not have fitted the gap.
