Does the Title look ok even though technically it doesn't meet the "requirements"? The title and frame are open at the top to fit a picture.

And I will let you know now the cloud and tail are in 2 pieces. Sadly I don't have the design studio to meld it together.

Very cool!! Thanks for the nod! I think it looked really good. I wasn't feeling the regular title. There wasn't a lot of room for a Title with some bang.

I love it and I'm getting one, which is even better! I am glad you posted, I was just working on this swap (again!) and took a break from inking.....I'm so excited to have all these pages to hopefully complete the trip I took with my MIL, SIL, and kids.

I hope to blast out the rest of Soarin' tonight. I'm having trouble with the title. I see it in my head but I can't get it on paper. Maybe after the kids go to bed.

Do you guys think I should straighten up the mat on the left or make it even more crooked? It just looks off in the pic. (It's supposed to be a little crooked)

I love the title idea. Very orginal and out of the box. I think it looks great, but if you still feel it needs something you could try adding some stickles to it somewhere.

The mats should be a little more crooked and the cloud part should overlap just a little at the bottom of the top mat.

I'm not in this swap but I love it too!

You could stickles or you could chalk the edges of the cloud to make it look like one piece if you have an issue with it (I think it looks fine in two pieces). Just do the outline of what you want the eye to see as one 'piece'.

the only reason why I didn't do that was this is the journal part and I didn't want anyone having bumps and lumps while trying to write.

;) Have you seen my handwriting? It would matter if there a few bumps at the beginning with mine.

Metallic chalk on the cloud & mats would look pretty cool.

Too bad I'm not in this swap.:)

I sent you an email last night..but the computer decided to play stupid and hang...so you'll probably get the email from last night this morning... sorry!! But I responded immediately last night.. just the computer didn't want to send the response out!!:confused3

I'm letting it sit for now. I think I am over thinking the page a bit. So I will wrap it up at Lisa's.
I need to cut some more clouds out for Soarin' so I will cut some test clouds for this too and ink, chalk, stickle those and see how they look. I will post pics later.

After I went back to look at the pic again I realized the top one was crooked and it was supposed to be straight! LOL I am horrible about getting things straight. That's why I stand to scrap, so I can look over the project from above. I did turn the mats on the page last night and the look way better. Morocco doesn't fit the clean lines that I envision in say Paris so they look a lot better crooked. Like there is movement on the page which goes with the poof of smoke from the lamp.

I think I am leaning towards chalking the cloud in a greyish blue, I want to keep it light. I need to go buy some chalk though, anyone have any recommendations of chalk I can buy at J's, M's, or ACM?
