May 31st launch? [Archive] - The DIS Discussion Forums

Read on the Theme Park board that there was going to be a launch on May 31st. Would be great for those being at a resort before and after the 5/26 cruise? Anyone else heard this?

Went there and found a launch for end of April. Couldn't find a link for May.

This shows all of the launches for this year. We were there last Thursday for the scrubbed launch. It did not go up until Monday and we were home by then. We will try again.

We're on the 5/26 cruise as well and will be at WDW after. I never thought about seeing the launch while down there. I'll keep checking this post for more info!

We sail on the 30th. Will we be able to see the shuttle going up from the ship?:confused:

If the ship is still in port, you will have a SUPERB view. If it is out to sea, it will probably be pretty good also, depending on whether it is a "north" or "south" launch.

Remember, that NASA now does not release shuttle launch TIMES until the day before, so you may not know until the last few hours whether you'll see it or not.
