We will be going to WDW Jan 3-10, 2009. I know that the 2009 dining plan info won't be available until probably August, but I'm at 178 days right now. I'm on the fence about going with the DDP or upgrading to deluxe, and would need to know what changes (if any) there will be to both plans before I decide. My question is,
1. Would you make ADRs for 21 credits (7 days), just in case they keep the plan as is (or make it better--like by adding the tip back in) ?

OR

2. Would you make ADRs for 7 TS meals knowing that at least you will have these meals set?

I know that I could go with #1 and cancel the ADRs I don't need if I decide to go with just DDP, but I would feel bad if someone didn't get an ADR just because I booked with the thought of upgrading to deluxe (does that make any sense at all?????:confused3 )

TIA for any insights you might have!!!!:)

I would make my decision based on the current year's plan, knowing I could cancel if I was very unhappy with the 2009 changes. If you are still unsure, you could make only the must-dos on your list, and leave the others until they announce the changes in August.

Personally, I would not make any decisions until the details of the dining plan for 2009 are released...who knows what/if there are any big changes coming?

We're currently planning on getting the DxDDP for our early January trip and I just made our reservations this morning 180 + 10 and my first choice of times for California Grill weren't available so if you want a popular restaurant at a popular time I'd go ahead and make that ressie anyway. You can always cancel.
