Hi there! Quick question...
In the past we have received the Wine and nuts (RPR) and the cookies and milk (HRH). I was thinking of trying the local gift. We will be staying at the HRH again, club level.
Any experience with the local gift? Care to share what you've received?
Thanks!

Not sure about HRH, but at RPR they usually gave a wooden idol/statue with an assortment of candy in a nice RPR bag.

at rpr last month it was a big wooden basket with some universal gifts for my son and about 10 pounds of candy. It also had a full size spiderman beach towel and a spiderman football. There were a couple of wooden back scratchers and two wooden bead necklaces.

As the op's stay is several months off and LF is changing, any discussion of the welcome gift is premature. Stay tuned, the changes go into effect next week and then we can decide what is best to take if there is still a welcome gift.

When we stayed at HRH in April, the local gift was a chocolate CD and a HRH pin. It was O.K., but I think my kids would have enjoyed the usual cookies and milk better.

Yeah, I got the email about the upcoming changes and I understand that the changes may include no gift at all. I was just curious as to what's been offered in the past.

Well, it seems that RPR has been giving the better "local gifts!"
Thanks for sharing all that you've received thus far! If anyone else cares to share, I'd love to hear. And when the changes come, I'd love to hear about that, too!

Portofino's was a basket of fruit, a bottle of water and the CD.
My kids were less than thrilled that I ordered the local gift. They wanted their milk and cookies :rotfl:

Whereas I would be less than thrilled if I didn't get my wine and nuts - but if they do give me a $100 credit instead I will be smiling.

As of July 15th, no one will get the Loews First Welcome Gifts any more....

This past weekend when we came back to our room, a large bottle of water, fruit basket and a bottle of Pinot Grigio wine had been delivered. The wine was a pleasant surprise.

That sounds nice. My kids night like that better than the cookies and milk. Can I change when I get there on Sunday. Is it tacky to ask what the local gift will be just incase they changed it?
