I keep reading about people receiving free dining on their Disney vacations. What info can you give me on this? Where do you go to find out when free dining is offered? Is it offered at certain non-peak times throughout the year? How does it work, exactly? It sounds like a great deal. Just wondering--thanks for any info you can share. :earsboy:

It is usually offered during non peak times...i think this years is offered starting the end of August through Sept.

OK, thanks. How do you (or did you) find out about it? Is it just offered once per year?

Us regulars here have already taken advantage of it in the past (this will be my 3rd free dining trip actually), Disney has been offering the deal since 2005 when they instituted the dining plan. It is always between August-End of September (or on occasion into October) during the non peak/hurricane season. We basically know when to start watching for it, as it is normally offered in the beginning of April- The end of June (in other words it is no longer available to be booked right now for this year)

I would try lurking the boards around March of next year and you will know when free dining is being offered. :goodvibes The boards are great! :thumbsup2

I heard about it from the boards.(Thanks guys!) We were able to get it as was my brother's family! IT's going to be a great vacation!:banana:

it also pops up under disneys website when you go to book packages, but you have to click the special link to get it, this year i know if you were on the jetblue website it was also a link there to book it there. as other posters had said it was booked between april-june of this year. but definately look for it next year!

Since 2005, Disney has been offering Free Dining during the last part of August until the end of September, give or take a few days. (Also, the UK usually has a larger booking window than the US.) You must book a Magic Your Way Package with a 3 day minium/14 day maximum to qualify for the promo. The free dining should be announced during the first week of April. The first couple of days it will only be open to Disney Visa holders and then will open up to the general public.

if you have Disney rewards Visa and use online statements, they send you an email before the free dining promotion begins (they also email about special rewards points bonuses). also mousesavers lists all promotions as they are announced.

We have had a Disney Rewards Visa and on-line statements for 4 years and I have yet to get the Free Dining announcement from them. I have always seen it here on the DIS boards before I've seen it anywhere else.

I receive the emails from Disney Visa and do not use the online statements. I don't even recall signing up for them. I am a member at WDW.com though. I'm not sure how I get the emails.
