I have been at Disney for about a week and during that time and several visits, there has not been a single ice cream cart in EPCOT anywhere in World Showcase. I have asked multiple cast members and they all point me to softserve in McDonalds. After talking to them longer, they confess that in order to encourage restaurant dining, ice cream carts have been removed. The carts also carry water, so in the 90 degree heat, there is no way to get water while walking WS.

EPCOT during summer without ice cream is not a year of a million dreams.

There are plenty in future world. They have ice cream at the Outpost don't they? I thought they had it at the American Adventure stand across from the American Gardens theater.

Outpost is "broke" and no carts by American adventure.

I want to make sure I understand...

You are talking about the "carts" that are portable...the same type you see at the other parks correct?

I personally have not seen them located in WS. Of course I do not go to Disney in the summer heat.

I dont know where you can purchase ice cream in WS but there are plenty of places to purchase water and soda.

I don't remember seeing the typical ice cream carts in WS before. By typical I mean the ones that sell Mickey Bars, ice cream sandwiches, etc.

There is, or at least was, a dessert cart outside of Italy that sells, among other things, pre-packaged cups of gelato. Also, I *think* there is a cart outside of France that had some sort of ice cream.

Then there's the already mentioned Outpost that serves soft serve, but I have seen it down a few times. It was also closed during an EMH night when we were there when it was listed as being open.

I guess what I'm saying is that I'm not sure this is a change.

If they weren't in FW that would definitely be a change.

There must be one somewhere because the second weekend in June we were with friends waiting for Illuminations near the main entrance of WS. They went off and each bought a Mickey head ice cream.
Isn't there usually a cart on the beginning of WS, Mexico side? :confused3 Can't say for certain as I rarely have bought ice cream. Now those sugary hot roasted almonds are a different story! :rotfl:

For years there's been one as you approach Japan from Morocco. I've bot many (too many ;) ) ice cream cookies there. It also sold the standard offering of bottled drinks.

There are usually carts before Mexico, between Italy and the U.S. and between Japan and Morocco but they are not always out, depending on capacity. I serviced the terminals they used for a short time.

That is where saw them when we were there the 2nd week of June.

I was at Epcot yesterday, and saw ice cream carts
. . . outside of Electric Umbrella
. . . adjacent to Imagination
. . . adjacent to Test Tract
