This is good news for our economy when we keep hearing of cut backs and lay offs that one company is not going to stop growing regardless!

That is good news. I'm so hoping that that means more trips for us to WDW. It's always the flight that's the killer for us westerners.

Personally I do not believe that this opens up cheaper flights - I believe that it could cost us $ in the future. A better alternative for consumers would have been if SW had started flying out of Western Canada and provided competition to WJ. The codeshare agreement will likely keep SW out of Western Canada and allow West Jet, Air Canada, and in particular, the airports out here to continue to #@#@ the public.

This will be no different that the Air Canada , United deal which is absolutely no benefit for us flying from Canada to the USA.
I do wonder if it will mean that Westjet will be able to fly into locations such as Buffalo to connect to a Southwest flight ?
If so, I think we will still be driving to BUF because the 20 minute flight from YYZ to BUF would probably cost more than the trip from BUF to MCO :confused3
