ok so we are planning our trip to disney and my mom is being cool and letting me pick the resort but shes also being uncool because she wants a less expensive one so the only resorts we have stayed at is sartoga springs and port orleans french quarter.

so i was wondering what resort you guys have stayed at and how was it?

thanks in advance
Sara

My favorite cheaper resort is Port Orleans Riverside. It's beautiful and has a great food court. Also, it has a arcade, a pool, and boats that go to DTD.

My favorite resort of all though is Boardwalk. You can walk to Epcot and MGM from there and it was tons of stuff to do at the resort.

Your mom's not being uncool, she's trying to conserve money, and those hotels you named are quite nice. :]

I've stayed at AKL once during christmastime and i've stayed at the value resorts which give a great disney feel for an inexpensive price. If your not going to be spending a whole lot of time at the resorts other then sleeping, swimming, and eating breakfast..I would recommend the value resorts. :)

Have a fun trip!

I would defiently try the Pop Century. It is my favorite. It's way better than Caribbean Beach.

yea i know my moms not being uncool i would just rather stay at one of the expensive big 3 bedroom resorts but thats not going to happen.

i'm thinking pop century. What are some good things there? i've never been there.

Pop Century is better than the All Stars hotels. when I went down for a Cheerleading Nationals trip. I wasn't looking forward to staying at Pop Century but it was surprisingly better than i expected.

but my favorite resort is the Board Walk hands down! ;)

Port Orleans Riverside is a GREAT resort to stay at. It's not overly expensive, and it's in a good location. We stay there the first night of our vacation, and I love it, it's so pretty.

I'd pick PORFQ because I stayed at the normal POR but they're pretty much the same and they have great night entertainment and it's really nice just to walk around the place and enjoy the food and there's a great view of the "river."

It's a really nice place, I'd recommend it! :teeth:

EDIT: Hahah I misread that. I thought your choices were between Saratoga and PORFQ.

Okay well I would recommend the normal POR because that's nice.
I really think any Disney resort would be nice.

If possible see if you can stay at Fort Wilderness or Wilderness Lodge. If you can't go to those I would say Port Orleans Riverside because the food court is very good and the Piano Guy is pretty cool.

every resort at wdw is nice.
they all have pools and decent rooms.
just because they are cheap doesnt mean they wont be good.
i just got back about a month ago and i stayed at All star sports.
They had a really nice food court, 2 pools, an arcade.
The transportation service there was amazing.
i loved it.
Pop century is nice also.
hope i helped.

enjoy ur trip (:

We just do deluxe (but have done CBR once) so I can't help you much...but my favorite resort is the Dolphin. It's the one we go to most. I love the pool and lobby. It has a really cool candy shop too. This year we're trying the Beach Club. And I really want to go to the Poly.

I offer you this advice, though. You should check out the Disney Resort boards and go through the official threads of different resorts to see which ones you might be interested in.

Try to do Pop Century. It looks very nice even for a value resort! Hope this is helpful to you

CBR's layout is really confusing. Check-in is in a different building than the rooms so you need to look around for everything. Bus stops, food court, and main pool are far walks from a lot of room sections. Other than that..there are a LOT of quiet pools. Like..7? I think. (I'm really trying to remember it..I went to CBR 4 years ago). Um, yeah. That's really all I remember. D: It has an up-side too, though. I think the gift shop was big. And I remember penny pressers.
