Hello fellow Disers
Youngest son is moving away for the next school year (6 weeks and counting) :cool1: :worship: and I now have to get him a mattress and box spring ,,along with fifty million other household items.
Any suggestions on where to get a good deal.
Thanks in advance
Hugs Mel

I highly recommend the mark down at Leons Furniture! I've gotten some amazing deals there on mattresses as well as many other things.

Good luck!

Try looking on kijiji.ca for the 'other things' A mattress I wouldn't buy used but all the other household items he'll need I would.
We've gotten some great deals on things from there - or try some garage sales!!

I've seen some cheap bed frames on Craigslist and Kikiji but I think some of the cheaper (new) bed frames at Ikea can be had for less than $100. Not sure about the mattresses - I'd say Ikea again but I'm not sure of their quality.

We furnished my son's room with Ikea furniture. He had teen stuff when he left for school and now has an adult room since he graduated. It worked very nicely and the prices were good. Packed flat to take to his house and then flat again to bring home.:thumbsup2
