We had our first trip to Disney in September 2005. We'd had a lazy day that morning and then I surprised him: I'd booked La Nouba at 6pm and Rainforest Cafe for 8.30pm. He loved them both and so did I!!! La Nouba was absolutely amazing, so much going on at once - had no idea where to look  Had a yummy meal at RC and a couple of drinks in the very funky flash glasses - which amused me for hours & they still work now!! :thumbsup2 We then did an hour of shopping and got a taxi back to the resort. We were staying in a deluxe room at the Wilderness Lodge and had a lovely view of the lagoon and the walkway to the boat taxi - reminded me of Dawson's Creek so I loved it!!! Anyway, after we got back I put my slippers on and went to the loo and Den said he was just nipping out and I thought 'Where on earth is he going at midnight???' :confused3 Then after about 10 mins, my mobile rang and it was Den telling me to open the doors and come out on to the balcony (I thought I'd locked him out there or something  ) He was stood on the boat dock and told me to meet him down there :confused3 Ok I said, whilst trying to find the bug spray!! (How romantic!! lol )

I felt like I was on Fear Factor LMAO I had to walk through the garden areas and along the path in the pitch black listening to all the bug noises and please bare in mind that I hate bugs, spiders, snakes, those little lizard things and they were all there in the bushes ready to just pounce on me! :scared: But I did it and met up with him on the dock, he took me to the end of it and sat me on the bench - I still didn't have a clue what was going on, thought he might have hired a boat as a surprise or something - no idea what was coming next.

Then he walked over with a 'Cinderella' style cushion and got down on one knee (Tissues please! :lovestruc ) On the cushion there was a tiara which he placed on my head, and a Stitch teddy holding a ring (I adore stitch!!!) and he had wrote a poem about 'Princess Joanne' and read it to me and then asked me to marry him, I said yes  (More tissues please :cloud9: )

I can't decide what im looking forward to the most *** everything is so wonderful over there! Every part of the wedding and those two weeks is going to be great :cloud9:

You're alot more organised than me, my dress doesnt come in until the start of august  but Im trying to stay as calm as possible about it by stressing about other things :lmao: I've got loads and loads to do!

Paying for it is a total pain isnt it! Wish disney offered free weddings, now theres a magical idea ;) :rotfl:

We were thinking of doing the sand ceremony too, but we might be switching to the hand tying one or the rose ceremony, too many decisions!

I've still got some of your pics saved so I can show Randy a couple of shots that Id love to have - that one of you both upstairs infront of the chandelier at the GF is to die for *faints* I would have copied your FHM shot but I dont want to make DF regret the marriage so soon by waving my tree trunk thighs at him :lmao: :lmao: ;)

Married life is fantabulous... I should have done it years ago! (Oh yeah... I did... urm..... :rotfl: ) I have finally gotten around to ordering our prints today to shove in an album which can go in a drawer never to see the light of day again!! We're currently going through 'itchyfeetitis' We're not happy unless we have a trip somewhere in the pipeline but alas, we've decided to be grown up and responsible, and skip another trip this year in favour of paying the VISA off once and for all  Watch this space though!!

Dinner on the Grand 1, and then a dessert party for just the 2 of you sounds absolutely sensational *swoons* You are going to have THE most amazing time. Are you having any kind of reception over here once you get home?!

Glad you are happy honey!! :goodvibes Shove them in a drawer, are you insane!!! :scared1: If I had your pics, I would be plastering them all over my walls, the car, hanging them around my neck and sticking one on the dog just for good luck! :cutie:

Awww, skipping a trip is no good - but I know what you mean though, we're saving like mad and are so gonna go over budget, but it'll all be worth it - thats what I keep telling myself anyway  We probably wont get another trip for at least 5 years while we are paying it all off

Thankyou  It's gonna be fab! I think we are just having starters & a main course on the boat, then scoffing the desserts at the party ;) I've got to make up for being on a crash diet

Yeah, we're gonna have a little party. Not sure of all the ins & outs of it yet because Im trying to just concentrate on the wedding now that its so close.

I cant believe you've been married for over 3 months, that has gone sooo fast :scared1:

:yay:  :yay:  :yay:  :yay:  :yay:  :yay:

You have no idea how happy I am!! I have been soooo stressed out that it wasnt going to arrive in time, only to find out its arrived a month EARLY!! :worship: This is truly the best omen I could ever have wished for!!
I only chose/bought it in April this year, they said it would be here for mid-august and I have been stressed out ever since because I'd heard rumours that the Maggie Sottero factory was running 3 months behind :scared1: But obviously some pixie dust fell on my dress because its found its way over here :wizard:

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Anyways, I've just realised that I need to start properly updating this thread with all our photos & plans!

Our planner is Amy and she is wonderful :worship: For floral we've got Rosie :woohoo: We have booked Randy & Stan for photo & video :cheer2: We're in the middle of booking Rev.Miller :goodvibes Now I just need to chose someone for my hair & make-up and then contact Carolyn Allens about dress steaming and tux hire.

During our time in Orlando we are doing a bit of resort hopping and are staying at Universal Hard Rock Hotel, Villa @ Wilderness Lodge and Boardwalk Inn :cloud9:

We are literally right in the middle of our crazy planning stage, where basically everything has to be decided & done ASAP

I know everyone on here loves photos just as much as me, so here are some of our ideas :flower3: I'm still waiting to here back from Rosie about costs and whether we can have the options we'd like, so all this might change :upsidedow

For the cake & champagne reception and our dinner on the yacht we are going for a beach style.

Our cake is going to be similar to this :
http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh214/DisneyBride2008/BeachCakeIdea1.jpg

Table centerpiece :

Napkins to be tied like this :
http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh214/DisneyBride2008/Gerberaonnapkin.jpg

I'll also be buying some place card holders, favours etc.. but I havent chose these yet, more lovely shopping

My bouquet is going to be a hand tied garden style, similar to the one below, but with yellow & pink roses, stephanotis, lilac freesia and some of those white flowers with the tiger print in the middle of them - not sure what they are called

http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh214/DisneyBride2008/BouquetIdea1.jpg

The stems will be wrapped in ivory, with pale green ribbon wrapped around them with pink pearl 'buttons' and the top one will be a hidden mickey :goodvibes

I love your stuff, our wedding is themed around Cinderella's coach and I'm having so much fun picking out all the little bits and bobs to compliment the theme.

We had an issue with the dress where they made it with the wrong neckline then claimed it was my fault somehow. They took it away and are supposedly putting the right neckline on it now but I'm just having to keep my fingers crossed!

JoJo1980

For the ceremony we are going for a fairytale garden theme, with pink, yellow & green being the colours :cloud9:

Down the aisle we are having columns with skirting and sitting on top will be vases filled with petals and a candle on top, similar to this

http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh214/DisneyBride2008/PetalVases.jpg

On the altar table I have bought some lanterns, one to go at each end with a candle in them, and the cutest ring bearer pillow will sit in the middle of them with petals sprinkled around

http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh214/DisneyBride2008/Frog2.jpg

http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh214/DisneyBride2008/Frog3.jpg

We are also planning on doing a rose ceremony, and will have a red rose each with some babys breath and a ribbon wrapped around

Picking out the little bits is what I've found the most fun aswell! It really is like being a little girl again, its fab :cloud9:

The dessert party is in Japan, so I've been trying to stick with that theme, so have come up with this!

Some glow vases filled with fish confetti to be placed on the actual buffet table, and then the little water fountain will be placed on our table with some confetti sprinkled around

Randy is wonderful isnt he!! Everytime I talk to him through email or phone he always cheers me up :wizard:

I got them from my favourtie place, .... ebay  Just do a search for 'clip earrings' there are loads. I've spotted some really nice sparkly ones classed as 'drag queen' ones  But they are gorgeous!! I'll probably end up buying loads of pairs because Im seeing a pattern forming where I seem to buy 5 of the same thing as I cant make up my mind :upsidedow I had mine pierced when I was little and had an accident where the back of the earring went inside my ear, having that taken out is something i'll never forget so I'm now a wuss too when it comes to piercing  ;)

Joanne, I just saw your list of vendors... I have Amy too! Isn't she just the best??????????? I love her and Rosie is my new favorite person ever!!!!!!

Everything looks great! I can't wait to see how it all turns out! :thumbsup2

Hiya! Thankyou  They are really cute arent they! I'm still wondering whether I should put M&M on our glasses or Stitch & Angel, we're having Stitch at the cake cutting so I might swap them about ... hmmm .. decisions!

orangetiggs was looking for some ring cushion ideas so I was just showing a few I'd come across, I love my little frog but I must admit I really have a soft spot for the one that would match domo. We're not having domo though, otherwise I would have definately gone for that one.

I've been emailing Stan from STVS to try and tweak our video package. I ordered some dollars so that we can get the deposit off to Rev.Miller. I also brought my first dress fitting forward :woohoo: I soooo cant wait to see my dress again!! I also heard back from Rosie and it sounds like we can do most of the ideas we had - which is wonderful :worship: I'm just waiting for prices now *GULP!* and to hear back from her on a couple of little bits. I've also heard back from Carolyn Allens and Beaute Speciale - so I'm going to read through everything tonight and email them back aswell :thumbsup2 I'm getting through a bit of my 'to do' list - which is cheering me up :cheer2:

I just couldnt resist it when I saw it!! We've booked to stay in a villa at the wilderness lodge during the wedding so I'm gonna put the toilet roll in the bathroom and the rubber duck in the jaccuzi - it'll make him laugh when he first walks in there ;) :rotfl:

I got them from ebay, you can also get them from online shops like confetti.co.uk - but ebay are a bit cheaper. You can get them in white, pink or black :surfweb: There's loads on ebay at the moment - so have a good nosey ;)

I bought these to go inside our lanterns

I love your necklace and bracelet especially! I don't know what to do about earrings, what with one of my holes having healed up :( I know I should just be brave and have it re-done but I'm scared of that pain again (it was agony for me the first time - I had it done with a gun.)

I've seen some beautiful bracelets but I know how much they irritate me when I wear them! LOL

Your shoes are so pretty, I love my trainers but do kinda wish I could walk in heels so I could have had a pretty pair of "proper" wedding shoes rather than Sketchers. I just refuse to damage my feet for that reason alone, and I know I'll be really comfy all day which is more important.

I knew I recognised your avatar pic when you posted on my PJ...you are the mad ebay addict!!

Jo, you look absolutely stunning in your dress, it is so beautiful. The beading and shape of the dress is gorgeous honey. You may have chubby bits (don't we all?? No?? ) however there isn't any sign of them in your dress.

Oh and I'm sorry but please let me be the 1st to say....GOOD GRIEF, your chest looks magnificent in that dress!!! (no jealously there at all from the fellow Brit with the pitiful 36B....ohhhh woe is me, I will be over here >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> crying )

Ebay addicted?? Me?? Noooo I think you've got the wrong person :lmao: I was laughing last night because I was looking at my bank statement and there were 2 pages of ebay transactions :rotfl:

 Thankyou for your kind words, it does make me feel pretty when I put it on. I havent tried sitting down in it yet, so you'll probably here me screaming in wales

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: When I first went dress shopping and tried the dress on I remember the assistant making remarks like that  My chest says thankyou for the compliment ;)

You look VERY elegant Jo! I was wearing my glasses at the time so :p Still can't see any chubby bits!

 :rotfl: I agree! Jo, your DF will definately be "knocked out" when he sees you! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

How are you going to have your hair?

Kayleigh x

Dammit, you got me :upsidedow Its definately a change from my usual office work gear or jeans / tracky bottoms

If he comes back from disney with two black eyes then you know my dress wasnt fastened proper :rotfl2:

I'm still trying to decide, I've saved lots of photos for inspiration. I'm leaning more towards having some up & some down with soft loose curls - but I've decided to have a trial and then go out afterwards in the heat and see how I cope with it. If i'm too warm, then on the day I'll probably go for an up do of some sort. I'll post some of my inspiration photos this afternoon, still havent posted my floral beo yet, I'm so naughty :guilty:

Hiya honey  How are you?? I need to catch up with your journal :surfweb: My garter arrived by the way and its really pretty, I'll put a photo on here soon. Thankyou for your sweet words  My mum said the same thing, she said make sure randy & stan get some good shots of his face because she wants to see his reaction close up. He's dying to see the dress, its doing his head in not knowing what we're all talking about, bless him!!

What are you planning on wearing in your hair Jo? I have a lovely pic on my PC of a half up/half down with soft curls. I adore it but I'm paranoid that my ears stick out so I'm having mine down!!

Good idea about having the trial etc! I might nab that idea. I know Josh would like it down...he moans I always wear it up....but I struggle with the heat in summer in this country with it down! Plus I have naturally wavy/curly/frizzy hair.....

I'm sure whatever you decide to have will look gorgeous!

All the transactions are shown seperately, but theres loads  Most things are just cheap funny bits for the honeymoon and our stag / hen night. We've decided to go to citywalk at universal, just the two of us for our stag & hen night

Dennis is the same, he loves my hair down & left straight. Its such a pain though, its nearly down to my waist and really drives me loopy in the summer so I just tend to shove it all up in a clip.

Beautiful Dress, and bride to be in it!

Thanks honey  It felt so strange wearing two rings when I was trying different ones on - I think its going to take some getting used too  Plus, Den has never worn a ring before so it'll probably take him a looooong while to get used to it pirate:

I'm soooo tired, got loads done yesterday though, but waking up to the news this morning has totally stressed me out - about Fay hitting Florida, I hope everyone who is over there is safe and it doesnt hit too hard. It's got me really worrying about the weather now which was something I didnt want to get stressed about, I have a feeling I'll start having wedding nightmares now like other brides have mentioned :scared1:

Yesterday I sorted through all my clothes and tried things on, so I know what I've got and what I still need to buy. I wrote a massive list of all the things I want to take, and broke it down into what I've got and what to buy. Then I wrote LOADS of other lists for different bits like disney wedding, uk celebrations, honeymoon etc... and did 'to do' and 'to buys' for them aswell  Took me ages, but I feel so much better because I can see it infront of me rather than trying to deal with it all in my head. I put them all on spreadsheets too so I can edit them easily :thumbsup2

So, tonight when I'm back from work I've got about 10 emails to reply too from Amy, Rosie, Stan, Randy, etc... thats my task for this evening :surfweb:

Emailed my completed planning sheets to Amy, and floral stuff to Rosie - although I'm in a panic slighty as I havent heard back from them all week, so I'm hopeing they are just busy and that I'm not having email problems again :confused3
Sorted all the plans with Randy & Stan for video & photography :dance3:

Sorted some ADR's and special treats for Den and bought his wedding gifts :lovestruc
Erm .... what else ... oh, booked car hire & wedding insurance.
Dennis picked up his ring and brought the cases in from the shed :woohoo:
and probably loads of other little bits too

So tonight, I'm going to gather all my bits together and see what I still need to get as I'm going shopping again tomorrow with Mum :flower3: and need to update my lists. Hi everyone! Sorry for not posting for a couple of days, we've been busy getting lots done :thumbsup2 We wrote our vows yesterday which was lovely  Just waiting to hear back from Rev. Miller to see what he thinks of them :wizard:

Today we had our 'Good Luck' family meal :cloud9: It was really nice to spend a few hours together and just relax and enjoy each others company. My parents arent well enough to travel with us, which breaks my heart - but they said the only place they wanted us to get married was Disney and that if we didnt they'd feel like it was because of them and they didnt want that for us. Words cannot describe how I feel about them :grouphug:

So I wanted to do a few special things with them before we leave for Orlando and when we return. So today I made a nice meal and decorated the table etc... so they get to share a special meal with us, just like they would have at a reception. Hope you like the photos! :goodvibes

The cute Mickey & Minnie balloons that we placed in the corner of the room

These candles were the centerpiece, and they were Rose scented, they smelt lovely!!

http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh214/DisneyBride2008/2008_08310018.jpg

These were our place cards & holders. I stuck the little butterflies in the corners and the text were just stickers - Thats about as artistic as I get

I am soooo in love with our dog!! He is the cutest thing on the planet  He can be cheeky like all dogs, but he more than makes up for it with his good points and cuteness :cutie:

We're going to take them out for a meal this weekend and I've got all the sashes, badges etc... for us all to wear for a giggle  Then Den is going to Southport airshow with my dad for the day & me and mum are going shopping & for lunch, and then having a pamper session at the night. I've bought a couple of chick flicks for us to watch and thought they would be perfect 'Enchanted' and '27 dresses' Havent seen either of them yet, so I cant wait to watch them :yay:

Hey sweetie  We had a really nice time :goodvibes I've bought my parents a nice frame (I'll post a photo of it once I've filled it) and I'm going to put some of the photos from that day in it, I've also got them some other little goodies to go with it and I'm going to place them all in gift bag and hide it ... then send them a text the day of the wedding and tell them to open it :goodvibes Just so they have something to take their minds off what we're doing and gives them something to smile about. Den saw these really cute teddy dolls that snore and they look like mum & dad, so we've got them those aswell  They'll have a proper giggle :thumbsup2

Yep, they are looking after Spikey - I couldnt put him in the kennels it would break my heart! :sad2: My mum and dad love him just as much as we do so he'll be fine, they'll spoil him rotten popcorn::

The time is definately zooming by, which is good and bad I guess. Its great because it will soon be the wedding day and we'll be back in disney ... but its sad because soon it will be over ... but I guess I can start planning anniversary trips then :lmao:

Hi girls :goodvibes Thankyou so much for all the kind words and congratulations :grouphug: - we're having a great time :wizard:

The package we've got with Stan was a bit different to normal as we wanted a mini video doing ASAP for the parents. Which Stan was wonderful about doing, its too big for his sneak peek section on the site as its about 15mins long so he emailed me a link. If anyone wants to see, just PM me and I'll send it you, you have to download the file before you can view it. He's going to put a shorter version on his site soon aswell :woohoo:

We fly home on tuesday :sad2: so the trip report will be here soon :hippie:

I'm hopeing to get our photos from Randy before we leave, so I can post them on here when we get home aswell :wizard:

We've had some pixie dust and some not so good dust, but all in all its been wonderful :cloud9:

Hubby and I just renewed our vows on the Wonder and then went to WDW. We had mostly 'self-portaits' of the two of us (unless I asked someone else to take our pics). You looked beautiful! Can't wait to see more!
