Radisson at the port

Does anyone know how many rooms have views of the port? I've been told that it is not too many, but are we talking just a handful or what? Also, are these rooms with the view only suites or are there regular rooms with a view?

And if the "Regular" rooms are nice. Heard some not so nice things about regular rooms. Heard only suites were nice.

is there anywhere else at the resort where you get a pretty good view of the port, maybe like the pool? I don't know why this is so important to me!! Can you still park there for free for the whole week if you are in a regular room?

There really aren't that many rooms with a view of the ship and that view is, IMO, overrated. The hotel is along a rather non-descript highway and there are quite a few buildings between the hotel and the cruise terminal. For my money, I'd rather stay at the beach and look at the ocean. You'll still have your breath taken away when you drive to the cruise terminal and see the boat for the first time.

On 3/8 we had a "regular" room located on the 2nd floor. It was very nice. The following morning we quickly walked to the opposite side(past the tennis courts) to "see the Magic". While we were very excited to see "Mickey's Boat", truthfully, it wasn't much of a view.
We thought the Radisson was a nice property. However, we were disappointed that there was no bell service (we asked). Also the front desk staff was less than enthusiastic, and didn't even say "thank-you".
If you're fortunate to be there during a NASA launch, you'll get a great view from in front of the hotel.

The pool, although nice, is in the back (middle) part of the Radisson and you cannot see the Magic. It is basically surrounded by hotel buildings.

I called the hotel to request a room with a view of the ship and she said she would do her best, but that there are only 3 rooms with that view.

We had a suite on the side that faced the port, but we were on the first floor and our room looked onto a parking lot. The room was very dark because the window was under the covered drop off area.

On Saturday AM we went up to an outdoor corridor on an upper floor and thought we saw the ship but it was not a good view. Very obscured and very far away.

It is not worth staying at the Radisson for the ship view. Even if you get the "view" you would need binoculars to see anything. While the suite was OK, it was very dark and not a very good floor plan for our needs. The windows did not open and the room seemed stuffy. My idea of luxury is not a room overlooking a parking lot. The upper floors are likely better.

Next trip we are staying on the beach where we will have a balcony with fresh air and can see the ocean for a day. Plus, there will be places to walk to. We will take a taxi to the port.

We've stayed at the Radisson twice. The first time we got a suite on the 3rd floor and had a great view of the Magic. We had no problem seeing the ship without binoculars. Since it was our first cruise, it was nice to wake up in the morning and see the Magic from our hotel. The suite that we had was very nice but a little pricey ($149). Two king beds, huge jacuzzi tub, kitchen area with small refrigerator and microwave.

We had a regular room during our second stay at the Radisson that was nice, located next to the tennis court. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and appered to have been recently decorated/remodeled.
