Disney Alphabet/Memory Book-THANKS

I have almost finished an ABC memory book for my 4 year old son. This will be a surprise for him for our upcoming trip. I plan on making a journal for my older son but thought this would be more manageable for the 4 year old. I will have to so the writing for him but thought it would make a great keepsake. Anyway I want to thank all the great DISigners here because I used lots of things that people here made for me. I've only gotten to Q but I'll add the other letters when I finish. Let me know what you think and THANKS- I really had a lot of fun doing this!

I am not sure yet. I think I want to make it small like a 4x6 or so??? (not sure if that will work?) I am planning on printing it at home myself using a good grade of paper (not as heavy as card stock) for the inside pages but using card stock for the front and back cover. Then I plan on taking it to Staples to be bound. Not sure when I'll get this done hopefully I will finish all my Disney projects this month.:banana: :banana: I'll post the final product. Thanks Lisa

I had thought about printing the inside pages on the unlined index cards. They have some substance but not as thick as card stock or chip board. You can also get them in 3x5, 4x6, and a larger size that I am pretty sure is 5x7. I also thought about just using a large ring to bind them on the corner.

Also for younger children who are not really ready to write on the pages, I suggest having them dictate it to you and have them sit with you as you write it. *** teacher alert*** Write exactly what they say , as they say it. Don't try to change the wording. I will appreciate it much more later when you remember how they spoke, and it the writing has much more meaning for them because it is their words. This does not have to be a long process just read it back to them as you write their words.***soap box over ***

I know the program that I am using to do editing and things - and these work in mine - is Adobe Photo shop Elements 5.0.... hope that helps!

Here's the final product...I sent the files to Staples online and had it copied, cut and bound. I used a clear cover, sprial binding and black back page. Total cost about $14.00. Thanks again to all the designers for your talent in putting this together!!!

I have had this problem too. It all depends on who you get. Some of my best were last year and I wish I knew the name of the person who did them.

Thanks- I really agree with you on this. I sent in my Epcot Passport and my older son's journal and they look perfect. I've thought about re-printing this one but hate to spend the extra money on it.

Just have to say I love this. I am a scrapbooker and I have done like 5 years of albums from Disney. lLast year I did a big 12 x 12 ABC book and I was running out of ideas this year, so I thought I would just do the whole album black and white with hints of red. But I thought about all the beautiful colors. So this way, I can do both.

Well, I will do this for my 4 year old who will be five, and my daughter who will 9 she can do all the writing her self. I am gonna do as a small album, with the saying on the computer or maybe the cricut and then I have a Bind It All.

I will do these for Christmas gifts for next year for them to use. What a fanastic idea. They will be getting passes for other parks for Christmas too so we can keep it all in the same theme. If only I could do it for my 17 year old. I would have to teen it up.

Just so you know you can contact staples and tell them you are not satisfied how it turned out. Usually they do it over. They did it for my project report when some1 decided to justify align the whole thing and some sentences turned out weird on all pages. They just did again for me. Does not hurt to ask.

Most of the first ones are saved as png files...the last few I've saved as jpeg. If you insert them into a word document they work and you can have them printed at Staples online...hope this helps.Lisa

Small question, where did you get the picture in your C is for Characters page? The one that says Disney Autographs?

I'd love to use that as my Disney Autographs cover, but can't seem to get just that pictures to save so that I can make it a 4X6.
