I guess it depends on what you like to do? If you prefer Epcot and DHS, then the epcot resorts are great, if you love MK primarily, then WL, CR, Poly and GF are for you. . .If you want to go on the less expensive side, why not try a value. . .I have done ASMu and Pop and loved both of them and would certainly stay again. . .but I prefer deluxe accommodations for me. This August I am doing a split stay with POR and BWI. Always wanting to try something new. .

I think the boardwalk or the yaght and beach would be the best for solo because they have the great boardwalk for walking you can walk to epcot, you can see the fireworks. many places to eat. great bakery on the boardwalk for breakfast. it is great

If you can afford it, I love the studios at the DVC resorts. It's like "having your own little homestead" (as Samantha Brown once said about DVC)-a bed, a couch to sit and read or watch TV, microwave, etc. Otherwise, I loved POR and POFQ (the choice being primarily based on which theming you prefer).

Any of the hotels on the Monorail route would be my choice if cost were no object. However, cost is an object for me, so I've soloed at POP since staying there the first day it opened to regular guests, 14 December 2003. The only resort that ever disappointed me at WDW was CBR. My room was in dire need of refurbishment, dirty walls, doors, sagging mattress, dirty warn carpet, etc.

i stayed at POFQ my first solo trip. it's funny because i thought and have stated that i wouldn't stay again and now that i think on it....i must amend that. i was really comfortable there and it was a very peaceful resort. i would definitely try it again as i love the boat to downtown disney. the only thing i didn't like was that the main pool was too crowded but the resort had everything i needed.

I've stayed solo at POP (several times), AS Sports (twice), POFQ, CBR, and also rented points for a studio at Boardwalk. The only one I wouldn't recommend would be CBR. Even in a preferred room it seemed like I was too far from everything, bus service was terrible, room was loud, no elevators, and courtyards were sort of spooky at night. If I had to pick my favorite I guess it would be BW. The Friendship boats to Epcot and DS were great. The queen size bed and studio were very nice, as was the balcony view of Spaceship Earth.

Since $ is an option I ended up booking AS movies for now. But I am wondering if I should have booked the POP. I booked pref with an AAA to save $40.00. Was the savings worth the hotel choice?? I never stayed at AS MOVIES but stayed at POP. I wondering if there are a lot of sport groups and kids if the buses will be C*R*A*Z*Y:eek:
