DH and I have planned on doing a cheapish trip to Disney in Jan 2010 (to hold us over until our next cruise, LOL). I'm dying to start planning now, even though we have two cruises between not and then :lmao: What can I say? I'm planning obsessed!

Just curious when you all start planning your Disney vacations!

Also, any tips on us finding a fairly cheap, but nice, hotel for our Disney trip? We're going to use airmiles for our Disney tickets and rental card.

You know-often I think planning is half the fun!

Once-we planned a WDW trip, for the 2000 New Year Eve Millenium-10 years ahead!:scared1: We booked the Grand Floridian, paid the 'then' deposit (which was upped every year for 10 years) and planned the entire trip, for 10 longggg years. Go figure....

We started planning this years Aug trip in 2006 . The planning is for sure half the fun. It's the curves that we get thown to close to the trip , like the no Spectro after Aug 14th for our trip. We get to the world the 14th so you know we have to go to Specto that night.

I'm with you on that. I come home and start making notes on what we did and didn't like from the trip and then I go and plug my dates for the next trip into the ADR calculator and mark the dates on the calendar.

I love, love, love the planning. So much fun!

Here's the link to the calculator. It tells you when you can start reserving various restaurants, events, etc.

We start planing while we are there for the next one. Be it the next year or a couple of years.
It's never to early, there are so many web sites full of information on what to do or where to go. Then you need to fit it into your time frame with out making your vacation feel like work. If you can't fit it in this trip put it on your to do list for the next one!:thumbsup2
We love staying onsite so other that the All Stars or Pop Half Century(it's not finished yet) I can't help you with off site hotels, but there are plenty of people on this board who can answer that one.
