One of the members of our party is flying out a week later than us, so he will only be doing two days a disney with hopping and one water park.
it will be much less hassle if we did buy him a 7 Day Premium ticket, as i have looked at the USA verison Magic your way, and it diens't work out that much cheaper to get him either a 2day hopper and seperate water park ticket, or 3 day hopper with water option, then delivery on top and we want to have the tickets before we depart.
and i read on another UK ticket vendor, that you can
Premium tickets will expire 14 days from first use unless the upgrade option is purchased to extend un-used days/visits so they are valid for life. Please note that the exact price depends upon gate prices, but is in the region of $70 - $100 incl. tax. This element must be purchased locally.
if i was to do this then the next time we go he will have 5 days left of the main parks and 5 visits left to the water parks
are you actually able to do this???
also does anyone have an email for Disney UK, regarding theme parks tickets i cant find on on the site???

The 7 day ticket we bought (in the UK) in 2005 was upgradeable - we had 3 days each theme and water parks left on. Back then, it cost $60 to make non-expiry - I think it is still possible to do this, but is around $90 now regardless of the number of days left on the ticket.

We upgraded in 2005 and are returning to use the tickets in August this year.

We bought our tickets in the UK in 2006. When we went to upgrade at MK, as I'd been told by the ticket vendor & Disney we had terrible problems-had to refer to the Manager. He said strictly speaking they do not upgrade UK tickets as we can buy them so cheaply-he did upgrade them after a 'discussion', i.e I'd been told by Disney I could.
However I wouldn't risk it again-can you get Disney to confirm in an e-mail? My advise-be careful!

Your other option is to buy a US ticjket from a US vendor,Mapleleaf & Ticketmania are 2 that are recommended on here,I have used Ticketmania & it was actual passes not a bit of paper. This will also give you the full range of options in regards to No. of days etc.Depending on the exchange rate you may work out cheaper.

A 7 day premium ticket is upgradable and should cost $95 + tax to add the non expiry option (price from WDW website)
To pre-purchase a 7 day magic your way hopper with water parks & non expiry will cost approx $402 - or $475 for the 10 day version (source UCT website - w/Mouseavers link)

They must have changed the rules since 2005, as we definitely had no trouble in upgrading back then. Perhaps an e-mail to Disney in the UK will clarify the situation? Apologies as well if my post was incorrect.

We have upgraded 'premium' tickets to non-expiry in the past. We bought them from Attraction Tickets Direct and upgraded them at Guest Services in WDW. I've just checked the ATD website and they say
''Premium tickets will expire 14 days from first use unless the upgrade option is purchased to extend un-used days/visits so they are valid for life. Please note that the exact price depends upon gate prices, but is in the region of $70 - $100 incl. tax. This element must be purchased locally.''
As previous posters have said, it isn't necessarily straightforward - as the CMs in Guest Services are not always aware of the option - but you can ask for a manager if you get any problems. We took a printout from the ATD website as a backup.

Recieved an email from disney after asking for this a couple of weeks ago and they did confirm that both the 5 and 7 day premium tickets gave you the option to upgrade it to non-expiry whilst over there. However you can't with the ultimate. :thumbsup2
We were also told around $95 + tax if I remember correctly.
