Well, I'm not surprised that Buzz is a fan of Bizarre Foods!
Don't show the girls that pic; they'll want to roast him!! :furious: :furious:

That is just gross.
When we were in WDW, either this past fall or the one before, there was a family from India eating next to us on the water at DTD. Trey kept eyeing their food and as much as we tried to keep a close eye on them, he managed to sneak over and touch it. We were mortified.
Buzz explained Trey has a disability and offered to buy their dinner, but they refused. They said they came from India and much worse things have happened to their food than a little boy touching it. I guess that is probably true. :scared:

I wouldn't have made you buy my dinner either but I don't think I'd have eaten any more of it. You just never know where little children had their hands last :rolleyes1
I'm sure you had a good laugh afterwards.

Wellll, let's just say that I've seen where his hands have been and some of the things his hands have had on them and I don't let him touch my food! :rotfl:
It took us awhile before we could laugh about it! It was pretty embarrassing!! :flower3: Just when you think you know your kid.... then he goes and does something like that.... Ah well, they were really nice about it.

Blue_River, love, just love reading your banter to JoJo. My DS(11) is the same way with the animals. Last year we had three frogs for four months and two lizards for one month. I had to catch the bugs to feed them as it was durning the summer months and he and his sister stay at grandparents house.
So I informed him to say bye to them and he did. Well we were at WDW last month and quess what, yup you quessed Mom, look a lizard can I catch it. No, you can't. Leave it alone. And at Soarin' he found a FLA snail, one of large ones in one of the water fountains next to the bathrooms. He wanted to keep it. NO, you can't keep it either. Just two days ago he catches the smallest lizard I have every seen , Can I keep it. NO, let the baby go.

Yay Blue, only one month to go. You guys must be getting so excited!:dance3: :cheer2:
I finished the book this afternoon. It would have been done earlier but I spent yesterday afternoon and evening with my dad and the dreaded stepmother:scared1: They took us to see Transformers and then out to dinner which was nice but the whole time I was wanting to be at home immersed in Harry Potter.
The book was so good! I cried at so many points throughout the book and when I finished it I was left with this really odd feeling of emptiness, sort of like "What do I do now:rotfl: Erich still isn't finished. He has three chapters to go but he had to work tonight so I am very impatiently waiting for him to get off work and finish it so we can talk all about it.

Yahooty!!! We've added an extra day to our trip :wizard:
We’ve made a slight change in plans. DH and I have decided to leave on August 22 instead of the 23 after he’s finished work for the day. The girls and I will look after packing everything into the vehicle during the morning so that when Grumpy gets home, all he has to do is shower and change.
I figure we’ll be on the road by 4:00 pm at the latest, and hopefully be across the border by 7:00. We’d like to get in as many hours of driving as possible so that we arrive in Florida on the evening of the 23rd. We’re going to stay one night in Cocoa Beach (thanks to the advice from a DIS friend) and spend the day of the 24th on the beach at the ocean. The girls have never been and would love to see it. :beach:

Buzz's Tips for Crossing the Border:
1. Leave the "I (heart) Obama" shirts at home
2. Instruct Grumpy to shave real close that morning & remove the turbine.
3. Take down the sniper scoped rifle from the back window
4. Big buckets of Canadian fruit are considered a "no-no".
5. If you're able to, put a NY Yankees bumper sticker in the window
6. Never laugh at how short the Border Guards are (personal experience).
7. Canadian copied sandals with the intent to sell is considered a Federal Offense.
8. Wolverines are beloved in America but never try to smuggle one across the border.
9. Canadian food was outlawed by the Bush Administration. Please leave your Beaver Jerky at home.
10. 55 Gallon Drums of fertilizer is always frowned upon.
Good luck!

That's a definate for my DH and Goofy. JoJo and I rarely burn but we still use the stuff.
This reminded me of a poem (and musical) from a few years back that was often played on the radio and the last line always stuck with me. Do you remember it? It has some very good advice.
Everybodys Free to Wear Sunscreen
Author: Baz Luhrmann
Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of ’99
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be
it. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by
scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable
than my own meandering
experience…I will dispense this advice now.
Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth; oh never mind; you will not
understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded.
But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and
recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before
you and how fabulous you really looked….You’re not as fat as you
imagine.
Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as
effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing
bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that
never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm
on some idle Tuesday.
Do one thing everyday that scares you
Sing
Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with
people who are reckless with yours.
Floss
Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes
you’re behind…the race is long, and in the end, it’s only with
yourself.
Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you
succeed in doing this, tell me how.
Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements.
Stretch
Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your
life…the most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they
wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year
olds I know still don’t.
Get plenty of calcium.
Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.
Maybe you’ll marry, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll have children, maybe
you won’t, maybe you’ll divorce at 40, maybe you’ll dance the funky
chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary…what ever you do, don’t
congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself either – your
choices are half chance, so are everybody else’s. Enjoy your body,
use it every way you can…don’t be afraid of it, or what other people
think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever
own..
Dance…even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room.
Read the directions, even if you don’t follow them.
Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.
Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for
good.
Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the
people most likely to stick with you in the future.
Understand that friends come and go,but for the precious few you
should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and
lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you
knew when you were young.
Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard; live
in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.
Travel.
Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will
philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize
that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were
noble and children respected their elders.
Respect your elders.
Don’t expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund,
maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one
might run out.
Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will
look 85.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who
supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of
fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the
ugly parts and recycling it for more than
it’s worth.
But trust me on the sunscreen…

Cocoa Beach is so nice. We stayed there two years ago when we went on our Disney Cruise. The girls will love the beach.
Funny you should mention that because my friend also told me that if we get there early enough, we may be able to watch the Disney Cruise leaving! I hope we get to see that *fingers crossed*
Finished Harry Potter last night, such a great series of books. DH is reading it now that I'm finished.
OMGosh, I just finished it today. It was fantastic!!!!! I'm sad the series is over but I'm still looking forward to the rest of the movies :yay:

Before I post the surprise, I'd like to give a big thank you to Goofster! http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Love/love-134.gif

Okay, I know you've all been curious and waiting patiently.
This is what I got in the mail today:

It's an ONTARIO Disney Pin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :yay: :cheer2:
I had sent Goofster a link to an online pin dealer to check out an Ontario pin for me and to make sure it was a fair price. He replied back that he thought the price may be a little high and said he would do some more checking. The next thing I know, he told me he bought one for me and was shipping it out!!
This is #100 of the 100 Years of Dreams pin series from the Disney Store for Ontario.
Each US state, territory and Canadian Province that had a Disney Store as of Dec. 2001 has one. They each have Mickey standing behind a large star with a gold banner at the bottom. The state's, territory's or province's flag is depicted on the star and the name is on the banner.
According to a CM source, there were between 1000 and 1152 of these pins for sale.
BUT WAIT
That's not all!
There was also a surprise inside the box for JoJo and Goofy. They are both away at friends right now and have not yet seen it. I must admit, I tried to sneak a peek at their pins but it was taped up so well in bubble wrap, that they would notice if I opened it. I'll post a picture of their pins when they get back home.
This is their surprise:
http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w108/hotpwc/WDW2/Pre-trip/e7e8e459.jpg
They're going to go nuts when they find out that Goofster sent these!!!

Well as you can see, the girls were back home long enough to open their surprise from Goofster and let me tell you, they were pleased as pickles. Goofy couldn't get hers open fast enough and they've both already put them on their lanyards.
Here are Goofy's pins:

These are JoJo's:
http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w108/hotpwc/WDW2/Pre-trip/e33b59e4.jpg
Goofster also sent them some Disney stickers! They said they would use those for their scrapbook :wizard:
Here is the explanation Goofster sent about the pins:
Mickey & Minnie in Heart - available to Disneyland Cast Members only.
Donald & Daisy in Heart - available to Disneyland Cast Members only.
Sorcerer Mickey - available to Cast Members at Walt Disney Imagineering only. This is where they create and design the rides and attractions.
He also mentioned that the others are various rack pins that are good for trading. The girls both told me that they are NOT trading any of them. They love them. :cheer2:
OH and I did take a picture of the girls with their pins but they wouldn't allow me to post those because they both just came home from being away at friends and looked like ragamuffins.

Your welcome girls, I’m glad you liked everything.
The pins are for you to do what ever you want with them, I wanted to make sure you had some pins for trading that you didn’t have to worry about if they were tradable or not.

Thought I’d check in before going to bed. We just got home from seeing HP#5 at the drive-in. After being in the car six hours with JoJo, I’m about ready to pull my hair out. You’re probably wondering why it took six hours to see one movie. Please let me explain. Grumpy is a total freak about being there on time and getting a good spot. He likes to be at the gate at least half an hour before it opens. Once were inside, we go through the ritual of choosing our spot which in the end is always two rows back from the concession stand (because Grumpy likes to be close to the sweets) and centre of the row.
Past experience has taught me to bring along something to entertain myself while we wait another two hours for the show to begin. :sad2: This time I brought along my Unofficial Guide and my WDW notes. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to open the book because JoJo never stopped talking and when she put her earphones on, I thought we’d finally have a quiet moment. Nope. She started singing off key at the top of her lungs. Once the movie finally started, she settled down and about 15 minutes into the movie asked Grumpy to go and buy her a drink and chocolate bar. Why do kids do that? He could have gone before the show started. Anyhow, he’s a pretty good dad and went to buy what she asked for.
JoJo ate the chocolate bar and then lied down on the back seat and didn’t even watch the movie. Ten minutes before the ending, she sits up to tell us she feels like she’s going to be sick. Ugh. I ask her if she wants to get out of the car to which JoJo replies, no – just give me a bag. Welp, we had no bags in the truck. Why would we? DH dumps the popcorn and hands her that. We finished the movie, pulled out and headed for home not bothering to wait for the second one.
Our 24-hour drive is going to be quite an experience. That’s all I’m saying. :rolleyes1

Okay, I usually don't share this kind of information with anyone, but it looks to me like your upcoming situation will be desperate, so here goes...
The day before you leave on your road trip, make a clandestine phone call to 1-407- WDW-SPELLS. (shhh. Don't worry, its m-a-g-i-c, so the extra numerals will still work.) Ask for Malifecent. Explain the situation. Have your credit card ready.
All you have to do is get both girls to prick one of their fingers on a spinning wheel just before you leave for Florida. You've probably got an old one up in your attic, right?
Grumpy then carries them both downstairs, puts them in the car with the rest of the luggage, and you're good to go! Now you have a peaceful and quiet road trip with the two sleeping beauties riding in the back seat! princess: princess:
It's perfect!
When you get to WDW, all you need to do is find a prince. They are pretty plentiful on property, so it shouldn't be very difficult. A quick peck on the cheek for each girl and the spell is broken!!
Whaddya think??

It's been my experience that teenage boys really enjoy large-bosomed princesses. Heck, for that matter, so do husbands!
I suggest you find some pictures of these types of princesses on the Internet and show them. All they’ll think about the entire trip down are those pictures (www.hot-disney-princesses.com). Problem solved.

I copied and pasted that from a spreadsheet so it's kind of hard to read.
It goes DATE, DAY, TIME, RESTAURANT, CONF # (deleted), WHO (either ALL or B&L for Buzz & Linnie) and PARK (which Park will be the main one we hit for the rope drop that morning).
Yup, my annual passes run out on the 18th so we're going to the Water Parks instead. Not sure which one yet. Any suggestions would be welcome.
O'Hana's is great. All you can eat food brought to your table plus they grab the kids to come to the center of the restaurant and goof around. It's a great experience.
Yachtsman, Chefs, and Narcoosees are all first times for us.

Buzz, you've been so kind over the last year to lend a helping hand in helping me write my TR's, I thought I would return the favour. :teeth:
Since you've decided to post your pre-trippie here, in my thread, I figured some introductions were in order and wrote your first installment for you.
The Mills Clan Cast Of Characters
Montana Disney Fan: Buzz – AKA “The Man” - 40 year old GAT Master Extraordinaire. Some of you may wonder what GAT stands for, so I’ll explain. GAT – Gauntlet Avoidance Tactic. At WDW, there are many times when you come across large group of meandering vacationers who are in your way. When this happens, Buzz kicks in the GAT and is able to bypass the throng with as few casualties as possible. (That’s his view). My view – there are many times when you come across a strange looking man in stretchy shorts pushing a stroller who will run you down if you don’t get out of his way quick enough. Buzz also likes to use a war cry to terrify all those around him. He’s a dancing banana fan and Obsessive / Compulsive to a fault who likes to break the rules. He’s also been known to vacation at WDW, leaving the family behind. Oh, and did I mention – extremely funny!!!
http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w108/hotpwc/WDW2/Pre-trip/609bb507.jpg
http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w108/hotpwc/WDW2/Pre-trip/78100e1d.jpg
Linnie the Pooh: DW to Buzz (bless her soul) - 39 year old fan of “laughing at Buzz”. She’s keeps Buzz in line, well – as much as she can. Linnie has many talents. For example, if something needs repairing at their home – she gets the job done. They bought a barbeque last year and guess who put it together? Yep, Linnie! While Buzz is lying on the couch having a beer, you’ll often find Linnie out doing chores, such as cutting the grass. This wonderful woman deserves a WDW vacation. Buzz likes to refer to her as “Lin” or ”Linnie the Pooh-head”. Also very funny.
http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w108/hotpwc/WDW2/Pre-trip/d61fdad3.jpg
Trey: DS of Buzz & Linnie - 8 year old cutie-pie. His favourite ride at WDW is Test Track! If you happen to be sitting near the Mills Clan in a restaurant at WDW, Trey may be curious enough to come over to your table and touch your food. So I’ve heard. I’ve also heard he’s doing very well this summer off of his medication. Aka: “Moan Boy”.
http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w108/hotpwc/WDW2/Pre-trip/c5ee68d6.jpg
LeeAndra: DD of Buzz & Linnie - 5 year old little princess. She sounds a lot like her father. Funny, pretty and charming. You just never know what she might say or do to embarrass Buzz or Linnie. Aka: “Loud Girl”.

It holds five messages and this is what we have programmed in at the moment:
1) Student Driver (for JoJo)
2) Harry Potter Madness (that was for the night of the release of the book)
3) We're going to WDW
4) Plumbers never get trapped
5) Get off my A** (you can fill in the *'s)
I need some WDW phrases to replace the other 4. Any suggestions???

It holds five messages and this is what we have programmed in at the moment:
1) Student Driver (for JoJo)
2) Harry Potter Madness (that was for the night of the release of the book)
3) We're going to WDW
4) Plumbers never get trapped
5) Get off my A** (you can fill in the *'s)
I need some WDW phrases to replace the other 4. Any suggestions???
Here are some qoutes from Disney movies.
"To Infinity and beyond"- Buzz Lightyear
"Reach for the sky"-Woody
"Oh bother"-Pooh
"What's the Hullaballo about?"-Jane
"I laugh in the face of Danger"- Simba
"The very things that hold you down are going to lift you up"-Timothy from Dumbo
"Hmm.....Leave town for a couple of Decades and the change everything"-Phoebus from Hunchback of Notre Dame
"The first thing in a visit is to state you name and business. Then shake hands."- Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum
"Hmm! Teenagers. They think they know everything. You give them an inch and the swim all over you."- Sabastian
" Swell, just what I need a couple of rodents looking for a theme park."- Megara from Herucles
I know some are to long for the plate but they are to cute. Hope they are of some help.

Erich has not picked up his report card yet and I am anxious to see his marks. I am really hoping that his marks are high enough to apply to Queen's. It would be great if he went to my school! The school does not mail them out though you actually have to go to the school and pick them up. I thought this was very strange, is it a Canadian thing? I went to high school in Virginia and they always mailed the year end report to the house.

The Disney Crocs have holes in the shape of "Mickey Heads." The Crocs company says on their website that because these holes are larger and oddly shaped, the jibbitz will not fit properly.
However, Linnie-the-Pooh just posted on my report that jibbitz do fit in her Disney Crocs. :confused3
But I'm taking that with a grain of salt because Linnie is very good about fitting "odd" things into her life.....
