I was thrilled to get all the positive answers from all the adults who have cruised with Disney without kids and loved it. We are Disney fans and we love kids but we are concerned about dinner. I have had the sad experience with tired kids and dining - they don't always mix. How is it?

We've cruised twice on DCL (with a third planned) and were assigned a table with other adult couples, no kids. We had the second dinner seating both times. There were some kids-not many- in the dining room at these seatings, but we never noticed them at all. They were either well-behaved, hungry, or tired. We never heard a peep! :)

Disney does a great job of seating with like people. Not just at the table but the entire dining room. They try and get the families with young children in one dining rotation, those with slightly older children in the second rotation and those with older or no children in the third. That doesn't mean you won't see any kids in your dining room, but it does mean it won't be overrun with them.

I have been told that, although it's no guarantee, you should request late seating for dinner. There are far fewer children at that seating - so your chances are better that you'll be seated with other adults.
I sure HOPE it works, LOL. 8 days til our Magic cruise!!!!

I have cruised three different ways---once with my hubby & daughter; once with my daughter only; and once with my best friend. Each experience was fine. The first---a great family vacation, we were seated with people with kids. The second with just my daughter & me---quite frankly, she loved the club so much, she didn't eat with me (age 5 at the time). I was seated at a table with adults only. The last trip with my best friend was great. As two adults, we took advantage of the adults only areas, and never had a problem with kids being "around". We were seated with adults only. I think Disney is very good at accommodating various mixes of "families" and groups. In May, we're doing another family excursion---hubby, myself, and daughter (now 7).

We have sailed 3 times on DCL. One with early seating and 2 with late seating. We have been seated with adults only every time. They try to start adults in Lumiere's/Triton's the first night. And families with young children in a different restaurant. There may be families with older kids in Lumier's or Triton's, but we have not seen little kids running around.
Enjoy your cruise. We have 2 more booked for October.

I'm still curious about what they will do with me and my perhaps unusual circumstances. I am a married woman without kids cruising SOLO on May 12. I'm not too concerned, but wonder if they will seat me with adult couples, adult singles (if there are any), or families. Either way I will adapt. I requested and got late seating as on my previous DCL cruise. They would probably have a hard time trying to match me with other "married but cruising without spouse" passengers!

Out of 20 cruises on Disney, we have only had kids at our table a handful of times, and it's only been on holidays when the kid population is much higher than usual. We had a little girl at our table on this last trip, and she was really neat...actually, every time we've had kids at our table, it's been a lot of fun. We must just have great luck! I get a real kick out of hearing them describe their experiences. But overall, chances are that you would be with other adults.

DH & I are childless, but were seated with a family with 2 kids (ages 7 & 10) at late seating. One of the children acted terribly the 1st night, but after that episode they never attended dinner again. So it was just the 2 of us at a table for 6.

on our first Disney Magic cruise, and since the brochure states that adults usually have dinner with other adults and families have dinner with other families, I was very surprised to see crayons at our table when we went to dinner the first night! We were early seating though, so that may have been why. The family we sat with had three children, the youngest being 6 and kind of annoying. The other two were older, no problem at all. But the little one caused problems a couple of times. And a couple of times she slept right in her chair, so that was kinda nice. :) This time we opted for early seating again, as we don't like to eat late and then go to sleep on a really, really full tummy. We are hoping to be seated with just adults, but if we are seated with a family we will request a change this time.

The way I discovered they had crayons in the dining room was when I stepped on two of them that were on the floor under the table in AP. This was at late seating with no kids at my table.
