POTC "The Elite Dis 2" Guild

Since Dude can no longer continue as guildmaster for The Elite Dis, we are reforming the guild. Dude will be deleting the old guild and all Dis members are welcome to join the new one. We're not sure if we'll be able to have the same guild name yet, so I'll post the new name as soon as it's approved.

The guild invite code is ADHT8999.

Goofywatercoaster will be the website administrator and forum moderator - any questions about the website should be directed to Goofy :thumbsup2

Ok, here's the situation:

I figured out how to write the table function from a quick handy reference guide, but I can't find a website to write the macro. I PMed dude to see how long it would take for him to write it. If not, I'm sure someone would write a quick macro for us

Goofy is stupid, so we will have a pins forum. All of your pins will be stored on this forum. The store is still functioning, but by Goofy's awfully stupid mistake, the EliteBucks and Pin databases were permanently deleted. Any complaints should be directed directally towards Goofy, and Goofy is extremely sorry that he is so stupid.

There are some big bugs. I keep freezing up, getting kicked off, and lots of lag. I won't be free next week, we'll be in Orlando. We're staying off site :sad2: and I'm not sure if we'll have internet access.

Go talk to either the French or Spanish leader (depending on what side you want) and choose Quest. I finished most of it yesterday and there are quite a few tasks but I'm on the final one now :)

Have you tried anything using Krewe or Crew? Like The Dis Krewe/Crew or Krewe of Dis?

I tried helping my DD come up with a name. We found that every name we put it said it was taken, including a random typing of numbers. I think once the first title was denied, it denied all of them until that one "cleared."

If you want me to set up a web site for you it would save me a step if we used a domain that I already controlled. If you wanted to set up your own web site and use the domain it would be easy for me to direct it where ever you need it. I think it's a nice short domain that is memorable and has a cool VMK/Dis connection. The only reason I mention it now is because you're talking about renaming your guild and I thought some variation on "Too Lava" might be something you'd like to consider.

Oh so fun! I have gone thru it several times now, best to have a crew for sure no less than, five but I would say more the better. and if possible find you a captain that has some experience in steering your crew through the bridges. I would suggest asking Venus Fox aka Teddybaer. either way dont get discouraged and enjoy each run.pirate:

Maybe we could start posting questions that we'd like to have answered here then during the day people who can get on can go hunt the hosts down and try to get the answers. Once a question has been answered here then other people can focus on getting a different question answered. That way we can make the most of the event and the hosts won't be getting the same questions over and over from us.

Also, on Halloween a curse will fall on the island, the living will become undead under the moonlight and will become vulnerable to attack. The rewards for battling this undead army will be greater than gold or notorierty.

I've been host stalking.... I mean participating in the Pirate event this afternoon and here are my quick little notes that I've been jotting down...

Xavier Hench (1:00 pm EST)
Story: Jolly Roger and his minions are searching for relics that will put a curse over the entire Caribbean. The living will become the undead, and once that happens, ANYTHING GOES (he wrote this in caps). However, if pirates will unite together, the curse can be broken.

"We have plenty of new things to come."

"Many changes coming soon."

Interesting note: He will report auto-run since it happened to him while telling his story and he saw how annoying it is, LOL. It was quite funny to watch! LOL!

Captain Walter (1:45 pm EST)
Same story.... Jolly Roger looking for relics... by bringing together these relics, he can turn us into his army....

"I hear all hallows eve when the curse happen"

"Shipment of new weapons is on its way"

"The curse is not a quest, but instead something that will be affecting all Pirates..."

"Jack Sparrow thinks that Jolly Roger's curse will be long enough to last several days"

**Note: None of these Game Masters are talking about a story quest. I called Ben out on it and said he was being very evasive. He laughed and said, "thank you, Pink ;) "

OK, I found my NEW all-time favorite Game Master today - Thatch!! :lovestruc

It's easier to post screenshots of chat than retyping everything.

He was WAY more informative than any other GM... and he was quite personable with the players which I really appreciated. He didn't even bother feeding us the same Jolly Roger curse story, yada yada... just took the entire time chatting with us and answering questions as best he could.

Regarding voice chat, that won't ever be a possibility. Thatch mentioned in his last session (yes, I followed him again, lol) that they recently just took out the ability to say numbers in game because of the concern for personal safety. If there was voice, they'd have no control over that whatsoever.

Awww.... I miss Host_Hurricane SOOOOOO much! :sad:

What's really cool about the "POTCO hosts" is that they are the actual game creators/designers. Very very cool to talk with them and toss around ideas for future things. I especially love the fact that they actually play the game themselves, albeit under a "secret" character. :)

They could do voice chat using their "Friend Code" system. Then you can only voice chat with real world friends that you've exchanged codes with.
