THE INTRODUCTION
Hi Everyone!
I’ve been on the DIS for about 2 years :disrocks: and I absolutely love venturing over to the Disney Fairy Tale Wedding and Honeymoon boards to see everyone planning their incredible DFTW!
My Fiancé and I got engaged at MK at Cinderella’s Fountain the morning of June 19, 2007. (More on that later).
We had always dreamed of a DFTW, but when we really sat down to think about it, a lot of our family wouldn’t be able to make it down there. And having our family share our special day was very important to us.
We decided to have an at home wedding here in Illinois with subtle Disney touches incorporated, so I hope you all don’t mind following along with an at home PJ! Once all the wedding fun is over, we are heading over for our Disneymoon for 8 nights at the Grand Floridian! Neither of us have ever stayed on Disney Property before, and we figured since this is our first time staying on property, we might as well do it in style! :cool1:
The Cast:
:bride: Me – Cinderella16 – Julianne: 23 years old, ultimate planner, Disney lover, teacher (if I could just get my own classroom), Chicago Bulls fan.
:groom: DF – PrinceCharming16 – Justin: 25 years old, my ultimate planning partner, Disney lover, computer programmer, sports fan, love of my life. :lovestruc (You may see Justin peek in here from time to time. He had made a DIS account so he could recall his side of the engagement in my June 2007 trip report. So don’t be too surprised if he drops in.)
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Magic%20KIngdom%20Day%202/DisneyPhotoImage12.jpg The Happy Couple!
Justin and I have been together since 2002, but have known each other since 2001. We have never been apart and think that is very special. We do everything together and I truly consider him to be my best friend in the world. I cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together. We both live at home and in the coming months we will be searching for our first home! :woohoo:
Since we were best friends before we started officially dating, we consider the date of our first kiss as the day we began dating. :love2:
The date was June 19, 2002. We got engaged June 19, 2007, and will be getting married, yep you guessed it, June 19, 2009! We are super excited that we have less than a year to go, especially since we have already been engaged for over 1 year!
Here are some of the basics of our wedding day and I promise to go into more detail later.
The Theme: A Victorian Fairy Tale princess:
The Colors: http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Gold.jpg http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Ivory.jpg http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Pink.jpg

The Event: Black Tie Optional :groom:

As you can see we have been very busy the past year planning this wedding! But we love planning ahead and it feels really good to have all those things checked off our list. We still got a lot of work to do, especially all the DIY stuff, but we do have most of our vendors booked, which helps me sleep at night!
I promise to go into more detail about all the things we have done, and of course, there will be pictures!!
Thanks for reading along, I look forward to planning with all you helpful and wonderful DIS Brides (and Grooms!). :thumbsup2

THE ENGAGEMENT – June 19, 2007
BACKGROUND...
We were lucky enough to be spending our 5 year dating anniversary at the Magic Kingdom. It was so exciting to be celebrating an occasion at our favorite place in the entire world! Whenever we go to WDW, we go with his family, and this year was no exception. Being the crazy planners that we are, “we” had planned the entire day to a T. At least that is what I thought...Justin on the other hand, had very different plans that morning and everyone was aware but me...
HOW IT HAPPENED...(taken from my June 2007 Trip Report Our Magical Trip of a Million Dreams, Wishes, & Surprises ~ Engaged at Disney ( http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1502942)
By 9:00 AM we finally parking our car in the Magic Kingdom parking lot. Of course we still had to hop a tram and hop a monorail before we could even walk down Main Street. I was pretty shocked as to how many people were already in the parking lot, yikes! I could just tell it was going to be a very busy, crowded day at the MK!
After a short and uneventful parking lot tram and monorail ride we had arrived at the Magic Kingdom turnstiles at about 9:30, not too bad! Of course DBF and I made it through the turnstiles before anyone else so we found our favorite people, the Photopass guys (or gals).
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Magic%20Kingdom%20Day%201/DisneyPhotoImage72.jpg
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Magic%20Kingdom%20Day%201/DisneyPhotoImage69.jpg
I had been reminding DBF that the first thing we must do on our anniversary was head over to City Hall and pick up our anniversary buttons. We reunited with his family and told them to meet us at City Hall, of course they agreed and we were off. We obtained our buttons pretty effortlessly from the CM’s who were all very nice in saying congratulations but we had to explain that we had been dating 5 years, and weren’t married yet, we had to explain that a lot throughout the day and I think we only ended up confusing people more.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Magic%20Kingdom%20Day%201/TR009.jpg Here is what our Anniversary buttons looked like.
His family was waiting for us when we came out of City Hall and DBF and I had our buttons securely pinned on our shirts. I was ready to get this day started, “Off to Main Street!” I yelled. DBF quickly stops me in my tracks and tells me that he needs a bathroom break, the rest of his family agrees that wouldn’t mind going either. You have got to be kidding me...you small bladdered family. Luckily there was a bathroom right near City Hall, since my bladder is normal sized I decided to wait and sit on the bench. This was the longest bathroom break in the history of bathroom breaks, I am not even exaggerating. I was sitting there for what seemed like an eternity and all I wanted to do was get a FastPass for Splash Mountain just like my nice and neat itinerary said to do.
Once everyone is out of the bathroom a good 6 hours later I ask DBF sarcastically if we can go down Main Street now? We head down and there I see Cinderella’s Castle in all of it’s glory. Oh how I just love the castle and there is nothing like seeing it while walking down good ol’ Main Street USA! We took some pictures and I asked DBF if we should go and get that FastPass to Splash Mountain, after all we didn’t get here bright and early for nothing. He said that he wanted to check one of the shops on Main Street. We had been promising each other that as Anniversary gifts we would get something engraved on that day, so I just figured he wanted to pick something out so that it would be completed by the time we went home at night.
We went into the store and looked around for a little bit, but we were now separated from his family, who were also shopping in any one of the 50 stores on Main Street. There would be no finding them now. DBF said they didn’t have what he was looking for so we left and tried to find his family. I was thinking, what a great waste of time that stop was. On our way out we got some nice Congratulations by some CM’s and that cheered me up, I love those anniversary buttons! We finally are reunited with DBF’s family so we tell them that we are going to go FastPass Splash Mountain and to meet them at Pirate’s of the Caribbean, just like the itinerary said to do, just like we do every single time we are in the Magic Kingdom. I was all set to sprint to Splash Mountain when Jeanne (Justin’s Aunt) saw the Dream Along with Mickey Show, she decides that her and Matthew (her son) want to see it and we should go get the FastPass to Splash Mountain and meet them at the Castle since by then the show would be over.
Now I am sure you all want to know what was going on in my head at this moment, and lucky for you I will tell you. Let us recap though, we had gotten to MK bright and early so that we could get a head start and fit as much as possible into the day. So far we had been there over 1 hour and all we accomplished was a trip to City Hall, a bathroom break, and shopping excursion that led to no purchases. AND NOW YOU TELL ME MATTHEW WANTS TO SEE A CASTLE STAGE SHOW? Not only did he want to see Dream Along with Mickey, but that would mean DBF and I would have to backtrack all the way back from Splash Mountain to the center of the park when they could just meet us at Pirate’s which is in Adventureland, which is NEXT TO FRONTIERLAND WHICH IS WHERE SPLASH MOUNTAIN IS IN THE FIRST PLACE! And did I mention IT WAS CROWDED?!?!?
I was hoping DBF would not agree to this ridiculous plan and tell them that if they want to see Dream Along with Mickey then to just meet us at Pirate’s since we hardly ever watch Castle Shows in the first place. Except that DBF didn’t tell them to meet us at Pirate’s he agreed and said we would see them at the Castle once got our FP’s to Splash Mountain.
The walk to Splash Mountain was, well, interesting. Let us just say it was no longer a Happy Anniversary. I was yelling things at DBF like...
WE DO NOT BACKTRACK!
IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE OUR DAY!
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE ON THE DIS!
He tried to stay calm and told me to just be happy that we are here and not let something silly like this ruin our day.
Him staying so calm made me even more mad, I couldn’t figure out why we had to go all the way back to the castle in the first place. Now usually I love the castle, but at this moment it was my worst enemy. I was just picturing the sea of humanity that would emerge once Dream Along with Mickey let out and we would be right in the middle of it. It would be like trying to go against the flow of the lazy river.
We got our Splash Mountain FP’s and began walking back towards the castle. I was angry. I was angry at his family for ruining the plan, and I was angry at DBF for not following the plan which he knew was better in the first place, most of all I was angry at myself for allowing something like this to put in a horrible non-Disney mood.
We made it to the back of the castle where I spotted Jeanne, but she walked away, I just figured she didn’t see us. DBF, who was surprised was still talking to me after the way I had been acting, told me to make a wish in Cinderella’s fountain like we do every year, except every year we save the wish for after Wishes. I just figured that he was trying to cheer me up because he knows just how much I love that fountain and we had gotten off to a rough morning. I was really not in a mood to make a wish at the moment but had pulled out two pennies so I figured what the heck. I closed my eyes, made my wish, and chucked that penny into the fountain still rather angry, but I was still sure to make a wish because after all we were at the place where dreams & wishes come true.
And suddenly, my wish was granted...
I began to walk away and DBF asked me what I had wished for. I told him that I couldn’t tell him otherwise it wouldn’t come true. He pulled me back to the fountain, reached his pocket, pulled out a box, got down on one knee, and said “will you marry me?”
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Magic%20Kingdom%20Day%201/100_2303.jpg Look closely you will see him down on one knee.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Magic%20Kingdom%20Day%201/proposal.jpg
I couldn’t believe what was happening to me, it all happened so fast. Instead of saying yes I said “are you kidding.” But then I realized what he just asked and finally said “yes.” I was truly surprised, as if you all couldn’t tell from the look on my face in those pictures.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Magic%20Kingdom%20Day%201/100_2304.jpg
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Magic%20Kingdom%20Day%201/100_2305.jpg

http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Magic%20Kingdom%20Day%201/100_2307.jpg
As you can see from the pictures above we held each other and I cried...and cried...and cried...heck, I am about to cry right now. I love how in the pictures there a lot of people and then slowly the crowd thins out and we are alone. They let us have our special moment together and I thought that was really nice of everyone who was there. I guess people were applauding when it happened too, but I do not remember any of that. There could have been a million people standing there at that moment and I wouldn’t have noticed.
As I am crying, DBF says to me, “You know my entire family is behind us taking pictures of this whole thing.” I told him I was not aware of that and began to laugh. Sure enough his entire family was there snapping away.

http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Magic%20Kingdom%20Day%201/100_2311.jpg
I gave hugs to my new to-be family members, and I still couldn’t believe what had just happened. It was so funny that a couple minutes earlier I was so angry and now I felt like I was floating. It was such a surreal feeling.
The funniest thing about the entire proposal was that it was exactly what I had wished for when I chucked that penny into the fountain.

Congrats Julianne! These PJ are so fun to read! I'm actually in a very similar planning mode. We are getting married at home (in Maryland) on June 20, 2009 and then going on our much anticipated Disneymoon! So it sounds like we will be in the world at the same time!
Enjoy all of the finishing touches (since you have most of the big stuff out of the way already) and I look forward to hearing more about your plans. Next June will be here in a snap!

Hi,
I love your engagement story and the photos are great! My PJ is for a home wedding too so I'm looking forward to seeing your Disney touches. Mine started out as "touches" but is now more like whole chunks, I don't think there's a non-Disneyfied bit!
Just an idea in case you're a bit sad about not having Disney wedding pics like I was. I booked a Florida photographer (Randy Chapman if you're a regular on the wedding boards) and he's meeting us on our honeymoon so I get the Disney shots, just without my dress. We're doing shots at the Grand Floridian so we can have the castle in the background.
Looking forward to reading more and seeing your dress!

I will definitely have to check out your PJ, I love seeing how other people plan their weddings, it is a bit of an obsession! :rotfl2: That is a great tip about booking a photographer. Our wedding ceremony and reception are taking place in a historic Victorian mansion built in 1893. (Hence our theme: A Victorian Fairy Tale) The mansion has been restored and is now rented out for events. They only allow 1 event per day, which is something we are really looking forward to. There are 3 floors and our guests are allowed access throughout the entire house, all evening long.
I always dreamed of having a wedding in something that resembled a castle and the mansion is no exception. Just have a look for yourself.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/homephto01.jpg
The moment we laid on eyes on it, we just couldn’t picture getting married anywhere else in our home state.
We felt the venue works great with our fairy tale theme and the ballroom which will host our reception is absolutely breathtaking.

My Headpiece – I tried on a few tiaras, and while I love all things Princessy, the look just wasn’t me. What I did LOVE however, was this headband which looks like it came with my dress!

This is very similar to my headpiece and also how I would love to wear my hair.

12-23-2008, 11:15 AM
I am so glad Justin and I made a lot of these decisions early on in the planning process.
Here are some of the details that I think will make our day even more special!
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Wedding/DSC00075.jpg
Our Unity Candle Set (Customized by Me!) Since our ceremony is outside, we also have hurricane vases just in case the wind gets to be too much!
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Wedding/DSC00071.jpg
Our favors--from whiteaisle.com--Will be filled with candy and placed at each seat at the reception.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Wedding/DSC00069-1.jpg
Our "Advice & Wishes for the Mr. & Mrs." Box, we are doing this instead of a traditonal guestbook. The advice cards will then go in our wedding scrapbook. (Also our vintage looking pen)
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Wedding/DSC00066.jpg
Our cake table letters (Spray Painted by Justin)
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Wedding/DSC00068.jpg
Bubbles for after the ceremony, came already decorated, and worth the extra $1 per box!!!
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/antiquegold.jpg
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/DSC00051.jpg The closed invite

Our monogram created by us!
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera.jpg
Our table names (also DIY and look much better in person) will be words that have to do with fairy tales or convey elegance...such as: enchaning, magical, dreams, wishes, royal, fantasy, charming, grand, radiant, splendid, divine, majestic, noble, elegance, dazzling, sparkling, glimmering, shimmering, exquisite, glamorous
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/knifegold.jpg
Our Cake Cutting set, which is engraved with our name and date
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/PM620030magically.jpg
Our Cake Topper!!!!! I love it! :lovestruc
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/PROD_1041978_LG-1.gif
Shower favors for our garden theme shower
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/DSC00050.jpg
Placecards for our guests, will also be DIY.
MY FAVORITE DETAIL!!!!
The Mantles - Our venue has 6 fireplace mantles and since we are the only event held there on the day of our wedding, we are able to to decorate the mansion as we wish. DF and I scanned pictures of our families from different generations and then printed them in sepia. We found great antique looking frames from Dollar Tree (LOVE THAT STORE) and we will be putting the frames on display for our guests to look at during cocktail hour. To bring our guests' attention to the mantles we are writing a thank you note inside our place cards (which will be scrolls).
As we make new memories with family and friends,
we hope you will visit each of the mantlepieces,
where we have displayed photos to represent the foundation
of love built in our past and our journey together into our future.
We hope you have a wonderful evening.
I will hopefully post pictures soon.

For our Disneymoon we are staying 8 nights at the Grand Floridian. It will be our first time staying on property, so we figured, we might as well stay in style! :cool2: We are staying in a garden view room.
We can officially make our ADR's on Thursday (yes, Christmas day) so instead of opening presents right away, Justin will be calling Disney Dining to make those ADR's! What a guy!
All the places we have chosen are places we have never tried before.
Day One: Dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe
Day Two: Dinner at Le Cellier
Day Three: Breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table (I HOPE WE GET THIS, we have been to CRT before, just never for breakfast)
Day Four: Late Dinner at California Grill (hopefully we can watch Wishes)
Day Five: Dinner at Boma
Day Six: Dinner at O'Hana
Day Seven: Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern
I will let you know how it goes since we will offically know on Thursday!

Would have been nice to know that the ADR booking window has been indefinitely changed to 90 days rather than the 180 days! I was so excited too! Oh well, we can wait until March.
We also found out that Liberty Tree Tavern is no longer going to be a character dinner...I was sorta excited to see Mickey and the gang.
Ahh too many changes!
Merry Christmas to All!

Teaching, planning a wedding, and painting EVERY room of our new house = NO DIS time!!! =( I cannot believe how fast time has flown! It is crazy. I have so many updates to share:
-We registered not too long ago, and yes I am one of those Registry stalkers...it is horrible. DF likes to ask everyday if we got anything new :rotfl:
-The bridesmaid dresses are in and look great!!
-My veil and headpiece are in, but not my dress yet, it is supposed to be in any day now and I am growing antsy!!! :dance3:
-We picked out the tuxes from MW Tux.
You're so close!! Everything looks absolutely beautiful! And so professional and elegant!

Aw thanks for reading along. I hope you are patient as it takes me a while to get updates up, :rotfl2:

I found the I Do letters at Archiver's its a scrabooking store and they locations nationwide. They were actually in their sale section and always seem to have them. If not there then Hobby Lobby or any craft store should carry them. I would do a search on wooden letters and see what comes up. Good Luck!

Yes the shoes did fit and are super comfy! I was so reluctant to buy shoes online, and was shocked when they came in and fit perfectly...I still need to start walking around in them to break them in, that is my goal over Spring Break.

MY DRESS IS IN! I am going for my first fitting on Thursday!!! :cool1: :cool1: I couldn't be more excited!!!
ALSO: Since Disney put out their June hours: We officially have an official PLAN for the Disneymoon! I have been waiting 2 years to get this thing planned! :goodvibes Just need to make ADR's this month and we will be all set!
We check into the Grand Floridian on June 23. We are just planning to chill out at the hotel that day since we will be driving, we may take a monorail ride to the MK later in the day. Depends on how we feel.
June 24: MGM - ADR's at 50's Primetime Cafe (never been there!) - PM EMH. The park closes at 8:00 on this day...I thought MGM stayed open much later than that, and there is no Fantasmic...I thought Fantasmic was every night the last time we went in June. But maybe we just got lucky every other time? :confused3
June 25: Epcot - ADR's at Le Cellier (never been there either!) - PM EMH. I must ride Test Track because in 2007, we never got to and I was ever so disappointed!
June 26: Magic Kingdom  - Breakfast ADR's at Chef Mickey's (ok--we have been here, but for dinner, not breakfast) - PM EMH. This is going to be the longest day ever because we are going to try to get to MK at opening. I figure if you are going to have a LONG day, why not spend it at the most magical place in the world? princess:
June 27: Much needed Break Day - No park this day. We were going to plan to go parasailing, relax by the pool, maybe do some shopping at DTD, and get our professional photopass shoot at the GF. Now that I think about it, it doesn't sound like much of a break day afterall. Late ADR's at California Grill (never been here either, do you see a theme developing with our ADR's?) so we can hopefully watch Wishes during dinner! :cloud9:
June 28: Animal Kingdom - We rocked AK in 2007--best planned day ever, we are going to try to make it 2 for 2! ADR's at Boma (never been), then hopping to MGM for Fantasmic.
June 29: World Showcase - I have never actually taken the time to really appreciate WS and I wanted to take a day just to experience each country. Monorail to the Polynesian for dinner at O'hana (never been!) then monorail back to Epcot to catch Illuiminations.
June 30: Last full day, and I am already going to cry! :sad1: Magic Kingdom -AM EMH- ADR's at Tony's (never been there!) I think we decided we were going to ride our favorites all day (SM, POTC, BTM, HM, Buzz), and take lots of pictures. We will def. be watching Wishes at the end of the night, and I will be secretly planning a 2010 trip in my head while bawling.
More plans to come soon! Bye, friends!

I had my first fitting last week! I was speechless when I saw my dress again! I absolutely didn't want to leave take it off. Don't ask why I didn't bring a camera, I think I was way too excited to remember. I get to back next month for my second fitting, hopefully I will remember a camera next time.
The dress shop let me already take home my headband and veil so I can play dress up all I want with those. :rotfl:
I have been doing a lot of shopping lately for the BM's gifts, it is all coming together. So far I bought each of them a pink tote bag from americanbridal.com... $5 each!!!!!
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/tote.jpg
a cosmetic bag ALSO $5 each!!! which I will fill with some goodies, haven't decided what though.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/americanbridal_2042_656928378.jpg I ordered the cream colored one.
Jewelry from Monique's Boutique
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/_wsb_345x414_Necklace4Text.jpg The necklace will have cream pearls, and vintage rose colored crystals
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/_wsb_286x345_RosalineSingleDropPear.jpg
Earrings for the girls, but will also be cream colored pearls.
I am also probably going to get them $25 to a resturant (Cheesecake Factory most likely) and a beach towel with their name stitched on.
I also ordered my earrings from Monique's Boutique:
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/_wsb_297x277_Earring2CloseText.jpg
I am only ordering earrings because I don't think I need a necklace with the dress since it has a lot of detail.
We have also been busy picking our video music and finalizing our ceremony with our officiant. I also ordered our favors (from americanbridal.com too). Instead of the candy boxes we are going with sandalwood fans. We will place them on every seat during the ceremony and that way if anyone gets hot outside, they can fan themselves. They are very victorian looking, so they just fit perfectly!
Everything is coming up so fast...I can hardly believe it. Next week is going to be crazy busy too while I am on Spring Break!
We are meeting with our venue to pick our menu (I like how that rhymes, I am such a dork) and we will also be ironing out other details. I am going to try and finish addressing the invites too, I try and do atleast 10 a day, I swear our guestlist just keeps growing each day...I have to cut my mother off! I also have to help my mom finish the shower favors, we have many little tags to attach. AND next WEDNESDAY is ADR day!!! :woohoo: I am so excited, I hope we get everything!
Although I'll be busy, I hope to have some updates during spring break! Thanks for reading along!
Cinderella16
03-24-2009, 11:24 AM
I can hardly stand it--tomorrow is our 90 day mark and we all know what that means... it is ADR time! This time, since I am on Spring Break, I get to be the lucky one that wakes up at 6:00 AM to call. That is okay, it will be totally worth it...once there are ADRs it feels more real.
In wedding news, I have been putting tags on the shower favors..I need more ribbon though, I only have 16 more of them to do...I was so mad that I ran out right at the end! Can't cross that one off my list yet!
I also called Disney to order the Bride/Groom Mickey ears because I want to wear them at the end of the reception because I thought it would make a cute last picture of us leaving our reception. :goodvibes I ordered the older style though (the headband for the bride and top hat for the girls) because I felt the new style just has too much going on and a headband won't be as hot as the cap style. I didn't know they still had the older style because on the wedding registry it shows the new ones, but the CM told me I had a choice, so I went the old ones which were cheaper too, can't go wrong with saving some money.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/wedding_hats.jpg The old ones that we will be getting
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/hats.jpg The new ones that just look so busy, just my opinion though.
I am all finished buying the BM gifts. Last weekend at Kohls, I found great oversized beach towels which I thought would look cute in their totes. I also got each of them a gift certificate to Cheesecake Factory. It feels good to get that out of the way. Now I just got to make sure DF is taking care of the guys' gifts.
I also bought my garter set from Ebay.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/garter.jpg
It has a carriage and glass slipper charm.
Gosh, it just feels like all I am doing lately is spending money...oh well, welcome to wedding planning. :rotfl:
More updates coming up this week. Wish me luck on my ADR Day tomorrow. :thumbsup2

Hi again. If you want to get the old ears you can call Disney Merchandise at (407)363-6200 . I didn't even know they still had the older style, the CM told me. Just tell them you want to order Bride and Groom Mickey ears and see what options they give you.
I got the earrings from a local seller Monique's Boutique, I found her on The Knot, and lots of brides from the Chicago area have used her. The wristlets are from americanbridal.com. I received the wristlets and bags yesterday and are very nice. :thumbsup2

WE GOT EVERYTHING WE WANTED FOR ADR'S!
I woke up bright and early at 6:00 AM, called Disney Dining and then waited on hold for 50 minutes...at least they play the Splash Mountain Theme, Disney sure knows how to keep me happy. :rotfl: We ended up getting all the ADR's we wanted, we just had to be flexible with the times, which isn't too bad. Here is what we got...
6/24 - 50's Prime Time Cafe
6/25 - Le Cellier
6/26 - Chef Mickey's
6/27 - California Grill
6/28 - Boma
6/29 - O'Hana
6/30 - Tony's Town Square
We have never been to any of those with the exception of Chef Mickey's, but our ADR is for breakfast and we have never done breakfast there before!
I also booked a parasailing for us on 6/27..can't wait! :yay:
Writing confirmation numbers makes me happy. :lmao:
I received the bags and wristlets for the girls yesterday, I need to take a picture of everything, it is all coming together nicely. I can't wait for the jewlery to come in!
Well I am off to finish those last shower favors...I shall take a picture of that too..then I will *try* to address at least 10 more invitations. I am also going to try and get DF to go look at wedding bands tonight...he never seems that interested...I guess I will have to work my charm. :rolleyes1

Oh wow, I don't know where to start lol!
1st, your recpetion hall is absolutly stunning! I love the tenting and it will look amazing with candelight! I can't wait to see your pics of the wedding day, it really is going to be spectacular!
The dress is so pretty, I love at the lacework, and the headband looks like it was made as a set too perfect! You will look like a princess in it!
Your E-story had me getting a little misty here at work... my co-worker looked at me and said "Are you crying?" to which I just said "No I think there is a lot of dust over here":rotfl2:... I would have gotten annoyed if people were messing up my touring plans too though lol!!
Isn't american bridal the best?? They have such great finds on there, your BM's will love everything you picked for sure. I know I would if I was a BM!
Now onto your disney plans... I love all your ADR's I cannot think of a single one I wouldn't want to eat at, I am trying a few of those on my trip in a few days as well, I'll make sure and give your the good reports when I get back!

Wow, your venue is gorgeous! I love the mantle idea. That is such a nice personal touch. I know if I were a guest at your wedding I'd enjoy visiting the different rooms to look at the photos.
The story of your proposal is so sweet. How great that your family was there to witness it and take pictures.
Your ADR's sound great too. Glad you got everything you wanted.
I am a teacher too and I can't imagine trying to do everything school related while planning a wedding for right after school ends. That's one thing I like about Disney...they take care of a lot of those little details for you. Hopefully it at least makes your school year seem like it is going by faster!:) June will be here before you know it.

Now onto your disney plans... I love all your ADR's I cannot think of a single one I wouldn't want to eat at, I am trying a few of those on my trip in a few days as well, I'll make sure and give your the good reports when I get back!
Thanks so much. Don't worry, I cry too whenever I read people's engagement stories, I have no idea how I am going to make it down the aisle in a couple of months without crying. :rotfl2:
And I would love it if you could give some reports of your dining places when you return!
Hello fellow DIS teacher :teacher: Thanks for reading along. I must say I am getting a ton done during Spring Break, but the time is going so fast and think it is because those kiddos keep me on my toes and I am always so swamped with papers to grade.
I am glad you like the mantles, I hope our guests like them too, we put a lot of work into them. My biggest fear is no one is going to realize they are pictures of our family and just walk right past them--we are the only two who know about it, so it will be a complete surprise even for our parents.

I am so proud of myself! I vowed that over Spring Break I would get my papers graded on that first Saturday off, do the report cards, and then be free to get a lot of DIY stuff out of the way for the wedding. Now, usually when I plan to get something done (especially grading papers, which is my least favorite part of teaching) I NEVER go through with it. I usually put it off until much much later, like the Sunday before I have to go back to work. BUT this time I was good, I did all my work related tasks and have had lots of time to Wedding plan! Here is what I have been working on...
Shower Favors -
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera034.jpg
I printed all the tags, cut them ever so carefully, punched them, and ribboned them up.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera035.jpg Closeup of the tag, excuse the blurriness - designed my me, of course.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera036.jpg All DONE! There are two other layers full of candles, but I was too lazy to move the top layer. :rolleyes1
Bridesmaids Gifts -
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera037.jpg Bridesmaid totes. They are not as magenta as I thought they would be, and I am happy about that.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera038.jpg
Oversized beach towel for the bags
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera040.jpg Wristlets/Cosmetic bag
These are so cute, they snap together so you can have two separate little bags if you want. I didn't even realize this when I ordered it. They had asked for two colors and I thought it was because they had a limited quantity and they wanted to know what my second choice was...When I opened the box and saw they sent two colors I thought they made a mistake, when I went to check the website though, it said that they snap together--I guess I didn't read that part. :lmao: I am going to be filling them with things the girls can use on the day of the wedding and at the beach for example:
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera041.jpg Cheescake Factory..mmmmmmm and mini sunscreen! I have to get more stuff, I'll post when I do.
I just need their necklaces and earrings, and I am going to make them each a homemade card thanking them for standing up.
Advice & Wishes for the Mr. & Mrs. -
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera042.jpg
I printed the sign, bought the stand at Dollar Tree (gosh I love that store), and bought the box from hobby lobby.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera043.jpg
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera044.jpg Here are the cards people will write the advice and wishes on and then place them in the box. I am planning to put them in our wedding scrapbook afterwards and want to read one a day with DF.
I have also been doing lots of Honeymoon clothes shopping lately...I will need to post pics once I get the camera charged again. I have been so much shopping for the wedding lately, that my credit card company actually called me last night to make sure it was me that was making all these purchases haha...:rotfl: I thought that was a nice service, especially with identity theft being such a big thing to worry about these days.
We meet with our officiant tonight to go over more details. I am sure I will cry because when we first met him he read us an example of a ceremony he had done with a couple and I was in tears. He sent us a copy of our ceremony, and I cry everytime I read it.....I am going to be a mess on the actual day. :rotfl:
More updates soon!

haha, I love that your CC company called you! Good job shopping girl! And as someone who has had 4 cc#'s stolen in the past year I can say it's great that they called you!
Those candles look great btw, very springy and colorful.
Oh and I may have to steal... ahem... "borrow" the advice box, what a great idea! I think that will be wonderful in a scrapbook!:goodvibes

Yes, the shopping thing is becoming a bit obsessive! Once I go back to work tomorrow, I won't have time to shop as much, so that is a good thing. :rotfl:
You may go ahead and "borrow" any of the ideas, chances are I probably "borrowed" the idea from someone too. Gosh, what did people do before the internet? :surfweb:

There is about 7 inches of that icky, cold stuff they call snow outside today! WHAT?! IT IS SPRING! I vowed that I would not wear my winter coat or boots again until next winter, but it looks like that isn't going to happen, unless I want to freeze my behind off!
DF and I went for our wedding bands yesterday. We chose to get matching, simple white gold bands. They showed me nice sparkly diamond ones, but we really need to save money now, and the simple ones were a better way to go. But the diamond ones sure were very very nice.
We also went to Things Remembered and spent a small fortune there. We got part of the groomsmen gifts:
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/000582146.jpg
These beer mugs are GIANT and very heavy. We got them engraved with each guy's initals.
We also bought frames for our parents and one for DF's aunt who is going to be doing a reading at our ceremony.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/frame.jpg
We got those engraved with the date of the wedding.
Then it was on to the Disney Store
We bought my nephew, our ring bearer, part of his gift...
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/walleshirt.jpg
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/walleshirt2.jpg
He just love Wall-E (just like his Auntie) and this shirt was so him. Best of all, it was on sale for $9.99, and I had $11 on an old Disney gift card. :yay:
Next Stop...Kohls
DF and I went to go buy some new gym shoes for Disney since he had a 20% coupon. We found everything we needed along with a wedding day barbie for my niece who is our flower girl
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/313YiD2EDRL__SS500_.jpg
And a pair of cute shorts for me...
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/shorts.jpg
We get to the register to pay for it all and then DF finds out that the coupon isn't good until Wednesday! grr The nice lady at customer service let us put everything on hold until then, and they usually only allow 1 day holds, so that was very nice of her! :thumbsup2
Bought our stamps for our invites too. In case anyone didn't know: stamp prices are going up again on May 11...so I am glad we sending out invites in April!
Seriously, I think I am done shopping for a while...

I think the GM's and your family will love the gift from things remembered, they are really nice. I was looking at the beer mugs too but when I lifted them up I decided to pass since we would have to get 5 of them to WDW in our luggage:eek:!
And you nephew will look adorable in his Wall-E tee! I love that movie!
Looks like things are really coming together for you guys. Your wedding is sooo soon now! That is very exciting news, cant wait for more:goodvibes

Now--we have had a 2 year engagement and I have been pretty calm when it came to the wedding. Which is very unusual for me. :lmao:
HOWEVER, in the last week I have started to freak out about the littlest things. I don't know whether it is because the shower is on Sunday or the invitations are addressed, stamped, and ready to go out. :confused3
I am nervous for the shower, my family is very critical, especially when it comes to food. Why should I even care what they think, if the food turns out bad, is it really my fault? (It is at a local resturant.) I am just worried the shower is going to be boring or just basically suck, for lack of a better term. I dont know where these feeling came from or if it is even normal.
Also, now some of my bridesmaids want to know if they can get dyable shoes to match the dress. I chose Ivory/Cream/Off White shoes to make it easier on everyone, figuring maybe some people already had shoes in this color, but they dont think it is going to look good because everyone will have different shades of "white". The dress is long and you will barely see the shoes! One of my bridesmaids already bought her shoes, and I am not about to tell her to go and exchange them to get dyables. At this point, I dont care if some have ivory shoes and some have pink ones.
I just want to get married already and go on that Disney honeymoon just to get away from all the stress. Has anyone ever felt like this before?? :sad2:
I apologize for the negativity of this post, but I think I just needed to vent. thanks for listening!

Oh, I can totally join you in a breakdown this week. I am going NUTS and worrying about everything! If you're anything like me, it won't get any better!:rotfl: And I've definately said many times that I just want the wedding to be over and go to Disney World!
Don't worry about the shower, I'm sure it will be perfect!!! The shower was one thing that I didn't really worry about, my bridesmads, mom, and aunt took care of everything and I totally trusted them and knew it would be perfect... and it was! And I'm sure yours will be the same!:)
And my advice to you regarding the bridesmaids shoes is to not worry about it! None of my girl's shoes match at all. I told them silver strappy shoes... one got dyeable that match the dress, one got silver ballerina flats, and one is wearing tan (GASP:scared1:That doesn't match, AT ALL)! But, they're all long dresses, so you won't see them much, so I'm not stressing over it. There's a million things you'll be worrying about in the next two month, so I'd not make the bridesmaid shoes one of them. If some of your bridesmaids would rather have dyables, I'd tell them go for it!:thumbsup2

And do not worry about your shower at all, I am sure it will be awesome and you will have a ball! I am so with you on this. When I started counting down I had over 300 days and now I am down to 54. Seems all the Bridesmaids cant get together at the same time to even look at shoes, FI has to go out of town for 2 weeks (he in the army). which means he wont be back until May 2. Then we still have to order his uniform, pick out music in the church, make sure the guys get fitted for tuxes on time and lots of other things!!!! HURRY UP DISNEYMOON!

The invitations are ready to go out next week. We designed, assembled, and hand wrote each address ourselves, these babies took many hours of work.
On Sunday, I dropped an invite in the mailbox to do a test run to make sure that they would go through the mail and received my test invite today...Well it arrived, only it looked like it was run over by the mail truck! I know mail goes through machines, but it ended up bending the pocketfold and looked so bad. (If only the outside looked bad, I would be fine, people throw the envelope out anyways, but the pocketfold had creases and bends!)
Of course, because I am way too emotional for my own good, I start balling right by the mailbox because now I am afraid this is how all the invites are going to look once sent out next week.
I have heard of hand cancelling your invitations, but I don't know that that will fix the problem. They are pocketfolds and a bit thick, but I feel I have received invites that have been thicker before with no problems.
DF thinks it will be fine mainly because you the invitation itself and inserts are are completely legible, but I don't want people getting bent, dirty invitations. He also thinks, possibly that it was just an unlucky piece of mail that got caught in the wrong place..he is so optimistic. :worship:
I love our invitations and am so upset about this. Has this ever happened to anyone and is there any way to fix it?? :sad2:

Aww I am sure it was just a fluke too. We had pocketfolds for our Disney STD's and so far everyone has got them with no problem. However, I am 100% convinced that there is a jinx on the bride sending out invites. Yours came all bent, but mine didn;t even come:lmao:! I was laughing when people started calling and saying "Oh your Save the Dates look great" and I am thinking "When did they get them, mine isn't even here yet?"... our GM's DF in CA got theirs and we are still waiting lol!
So I say go ahead and send them out, it's just the bride curse with invites :rotfl2:

We have to do WHAT?
Okay this is long, but I need to share this story....
DF and I went to our post office to find out what happened to our poor "test" invitation. They were very shocked when they saw what condition it was in. We spoke to one of the post office workers and he went to investigate the problem.
Well the problem was the little buckle on the invites was getting snagged in the machine and that is why it looked the way it did, because it is not truly flat. We asked him what our options were since we have yet to send the invites out and he said we can put it in a bigger envelope so that it doesn't go through as a letter and it will avoid that machine. Otherwise, we were stuck and he guaranteed that they would look that way or worse. :sad2:
At first, we thought that using another envelope would be hopeless since we already stamped them all, but employee informed us that we can peel the stamps right off since it is a metallic envelope they come off pretty easily. We could then just add the difference in postage. She was so very sweet and said invitations looked great and she felt bad that I did all the work and she could see my concern. This was basically at closing and all the employees there were ver impressed that we decided to send out a test invite. They called it smart, and I told them it was because I am a control freak...then the man who was helping us originally said, "no, it is called being a bride" :rotfl:
After much deliberation with DF in the post office we decided to head off to Office Max to see our envelope options. I really wasn't too keen on the idea of putting my beautiful invite in a bubble mailer, but we had to see what we could do.
So: we bought white 9x12 envelopes (those definitely will not fit through that horrid machine) and are putting our already addressed invitations in those. We are then doing mailing labels because I do not have the time or energy to hand address all 150 invites again, besides the metallic envelope is hand addressed and sealed inside.
We got home and started peeling the the stamps off the invites, they all came off without a problem and placed them all on the new huge envelopes. We started designing our labels, and are going to incorporate our monogram into them somehow...this is a project for tomorrow. I think in the end it will look okay.
Basically, our guests are going to be receiving a large envelope with a 5x7 envelope on the inside and then a pocketfold inside of that. :rotfl2: They will probably be very confused, but I think most people will figure out what happened. The way I see it, I would rather have this ridiculous situation than having the invites arrive all torn and mangled, espcially after hand making them. They are just going to throw out the big envelope anyways and who knows, maybe they will feel extra important since it is coming in a giant envelope. :rotfl2:
I beginning to find the humor in this all, but earlier I was in tears because I thought the idea was absolutely unacceptable, but I basically had 2 options: send out the giant envelopes and the invites will arrive all pretty, or send them as they were and it would arive as trash.... Sitting with DF peeling off our stamps, we began to laugh because we will always remember this little fiasco.
In the end, they are the same invitations and people will RSVP like normal, and it will still be the same wedding no matter how many envelopes it comes in.
My advice to you...if you have any ribbon, buckles, or any kind of inviation that bulges out the slightest bit (because mine is barely noticable), take it to the post office, do a test run, and see how it will turn out. Also: metallic envelopes are great for peeling off stamps if you make a mistake. :thumbsup2
Okay, I am sorry for rambling, and I will try and get some pics up of the mangled invite and our new and improved JUMBO invitations. :rotfl2:

I know I have been MIA lately...I feel horribly about neglecting my PJ, but after that invite "disaster" and my shower, we have been BUSY BUSY BUSY.
First off, the shower was fun..we got great presents, I GOT MY TASSIMO MACHINE and my FMIL planned some terrific games for us to play. The downside was the service at the resturant...they didn't even have salt and pepper on the tables and the food was coming out soooo slow. People would order a drink and it would arrive 40 MINUTES LATER. It was horrible. My mom was so upset with everything...but whatever, what is done is done and we know the wedding will rock! :goodvibes
As promised here are some pictures of the practice invite that came to my house mangled a couple of days before we were going to send them out...
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/CopyofCamera055.jpg the outside
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera056.jpg
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera048.jpg inside, you can't tell how bent it was in the pictures and when I opened it, the ribbon was almost all the way off.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera050.jpg
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera051.jpg Inside of the invite (dont think I ever showed it)
So we took our mangled baby to the post office and they were just as surprised...they showed us that it was the buckle holding the ribbon was getting snagged in the machine causing it crush it. They told us to solve this problem we have to put our beautiful invites in larger envelopes. I was so upset at the time, but instead of getting an athletic gold mailing envelope we found white HUGE ones....(because otherwise it would still go through the wretched machine.)
Here was our final product. We printed labels and finished them all in one night.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/CopyofCamera058.jpg
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/inite9.jpg
So we sent them off...but not before another go around with the post office. It seemed everytime we went they wanted to tell us different postage. At first they told us that a green heart stamp, and a gold heart stamp should be enough. When we took them back they told us it wasn't enough and wanted to stick a BLUE Ram stamp on it...:scared1: um excuse me? We ended up putting 2 gold stamps on them and sent them on their way..good riddance.
Looking on it now, it wasnt that big of a deal...a headache yes, but DF and I solved our issue together..isn't that what married couples do? :cloud9:We are now getting our RSVPs back and coming home to the mail is definitely my favorite part of the day.
I was also working on shower thank yous...those were hard...I got major hand cramps..

Here is what they look like rolled up in the program basket..(this is just a small sampling of them)

We also paid our Disney Honeymoon in full so we are now OFFICIALLY going! :cool1:
So that is has been my wedding life...and basically my whole life too...except that at work I was told that because of low student enrollment, myself and 3 other new teachers will not be teaching there next year. :sad2: I am so ready for this Disneymoon...somedays the stress is just too much.
This week should be a good one though... I have my final fitting  and on Saturday DF and I are going to get our marriage license...I cannot believe it is only 39 days away!!!!!! So much to still do, but it is all coming togther...I CAN'T WAIT!
Okay, I just went back and reread what I wrote and it is so random, I apologize for the randomness. Hopefully the next update will be a little more coherent.

I just came across this and had to comment!
I remember reading your engagement TR a long time ago-how awesome that youre SO CLOSE to your wedding day! You must be so SO excited!!! I remember those last few weeks before the wedding, and how ready I was for it all to be over and just be on my honeymoon and have some fun!! We honeymooned and the WL in December of 07 and I loved every single second of it. It was the best decision we ever made, even like you said-so many people just didn't get it.
I love all the wedding details, and I had to lol at the invitation fiasco, bc how SMART you are to have done the trial run, I never would have thought about something like that! I'm glad you got that straightened out!
anyway, I love everything you've planned, you are going to have SUCH a beautiful wedding! Can't wait to read more!

Hi there! How sweet that you remember reading my engagement TR...that was a long time ago, although it feels like yesterday, where has the time gone? :confused3 Thank you so much for reading along. I see you have a bunch of TRs, I am definitely going to bookmark those as my next ones to read. :thumbsup2

Today is May 19th............THAT MEANS IN EXACTLY ONE MONTH WE WILL BE GETTING MARRIED :cool1::yay::dance3::cheer2::cool1::banana::yay::d ance3::cheer2:
We just found that my cousin from Italy is coming in for the wedding, only my dad doesn't know yet. My dad's entire family is in Italy, so when he gets family to visit him, it is always a special treat. I am so excited that he is coming in!! We have to keep it a secret though because that is how my cousin wants it. My brother is just going to bring him from the airport to our house a week before the wedding, which means he will be coming to the rehearsal and everything. I guess next week he is calling my dad and telling him for sure that he can't come (we called last week and he told him maybe, but he would know more details soon). My dad is going to be so surprised..I can't wait!
We redid our Limo contracts because there were so many versions that we were all confused. So we started from scratch and now everything is all straightened out.
ALL the BP gift are bought and I am in the process of wrapping them. Need to also print more programs tomorrow and start on those place cards as soon as we get all our RSVP's back. They are due next Monday.
The next month is going to FLY by!

I have reached that point where I want the wedding to come and be over with so that we can just get out of here and go on our honeymoon already! I am so over the school year, the wedding planning, the stress...I NEED A VACATION! :cool2:
We are getting a ton of declines for RSVPs...but whatever...the people I really want to be there, will be there. The only problem is our guest minimum, because our venue says we must have 175...well as of today we are at 95 :scared1: So we are going to be waaaaay under, but we will make it work. It is out of my control and I'm not going to let the guest count ruin our day.
I cannot wait for my long weekend...only 9 more days of work left until we are off for the summer..I CANNOT WAIT!!!

I had my hair and makeup trial today, and it was so much fun! I need to pamper myself more often haha! I am really happy with the result..
A little backstory: the last time I had hair and makeup done was in 2003 for my sister's wedding, and I looked like a CLOWN! It was awful, I HATED it! I told my hair/makeup artist this and she promised she wouldn't do that to me!
Here is what I showed her for inspiration...
Makeup Inspiration... Very natural and soft

Busy weekend! We paid the florist in full and tomorrow we meet with our venue for the last time before the wedding to get all the details down! It is all so real now!!!!!

We have 2 weeks to go until the BIG day...and oh so much to do!!
My current project is printing and "assembling" our placecards, which I currently have a love/hate relationship with because I LOVE how they look, but I hate all the work! I will post some pics soon.
I received my cousin's wedding invitation for this July and I when I filled in the response, I had to fill it in with my new last name...it was so weird and it all just kind of hit me as to how close this wedding is!!!
Our Bachelor/Bachelorette parties are tomorrow and we have soooo many little details to take care of before next Sunday (our rehearsal).
Pics soon!:goodvibes

I am so proud of myself! We have all of our major projects done—with 9 days to spare! I am just so done with wedding planning—I want to be married already...it has been 2 long years of planning every single detail, I am ready for it to all come together! And you want to know something...the first 23 and half months of this engagement have flown by...but NOW the last 2 WEEKS HAVE FELT SOOOO SLOOOWWW..what gives?? :lmao:
Anyways, I am done with work (summer vacation!) I decided to think of the top reasons why I want this wedding to be over...here they are.
Top Reasons I Want This Wedding TO Be Over...
1. I will not have to tie any more dusty pink or gold ribbons into perfect bows.
2. I can stop walking around with a 30 pound wedding planning binder!
3. To be able to walk into Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or any other store for that matter and not say, “OOOO that WOULD be perfect for our wedding!” :lmao:
4. To not have to deal with Momzilla anymore—yes we are having 1 guest from Italy stay at our house starting this Friday, not the Queen of England—get over it, my room will be cleaned!
5. To not have to hear, “Your wedding is too of far away, that is why you didn’t meet your minimum.” – I didn’t think 1 hour is that far...apparently, I was wrong. :sad2:
6. Never having to hear, “So how are the wedding plans coming?” or “Are you getting nervous?” again.
7. I will be able to stop making To do list after To do list.
8. We will finally be able to have a normal, non-wedding planning weekend!
9. Two Words: Disney World :woohoo:
10. We can finally call each other husband and wife!!! :cloud9::lovestruc
Cmon 9 DAYS!~!
Here are some of the final DIY projects that I have finally finished, which means..more DIS time!! YEAH!

Our scroll place cards..so very cute, but so very annoying to print, roll, and tie! Glad that one is over with!
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera039-1.jpg
All of the place cards! I was trying to figure out how to arrange them all, but then I figured, I’ll let our venue figure it out since I didn’t know how big of a table I am dealing with. :rotfl: I getting lazy.

A little late in the game, but found this inspiration board last night, and it is totally the look we want to accomplish for our wedding!

Since I was cleaning out the rest of my room today, which is very surreal, I decided I would post my rehearsal dress...
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera046-1.jpg
While cleaning I also found this shirt that I bought a couple years ago and completely forgot about...
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera042-1.jpg
Haha, I am going to surprise Justin and where it sometime this week for him!
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera043-1.jpg
I also dug out these babies! I’m going to wear my Minnie Ears for the rehearsal.
That is my bride tanktop that Justin’s aunt bought for me for my Bachelorette Party, along with some other suggestive “honeymoon” games and paints. :rotfl: A little awkward? Yes...
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera045-1.jpg
My bride zip-up for when I get my hair/makeup done! I bought the sweatshirt on clearance for $12 at Target and bought the iron on rhinestone letters for about $2...and taa-da...a hoodie for about 15 bucks! Sure beats the ones for $50 I saw online..crazy for a shirt I will only wear once! (I guess some could argue the same thing about the wedding dress ) ::cough cough::
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/dancinghams/Camera048-1.jpg
Here are our wedding bands...very simple, but pretty. :goodvibes

During the last week of school, I had my students write Marriage Advice for Justin and I. This is part of the cover that one of the girls decorated for me. (I didn’t post the whole thing because it shows our last names). Anyways, I was surprised at how thoughtful some of their advice was, and some of the advice, well, it just made me laugh! Here are two of my favorites..the kids are 10 years old...and miss them so much!
“My advice for you is not to have only one person do all the cooking and cleaning, you should share the jobs. This may help because one person shouldn’t be upset because they had to do too much work. If one wants a different pet then compromise and get something you both like, or just get both, but make sure they get along. Everyday say you love each other. Even when your mad at each other you should still love one another. Follow this and you should have a good marriage.”
“Mr. G., to be a good husband you need to be a hard worker and make a lot of money. Miss M., to be a good wife you need to be patient, men can get crabby. Mr. G. don’t let her take charge of you, you are the man! Miss M. make him dinner only if he has a job. Mr. G. treat her like a queen. Miss M, always be nice. Mr. G. & Miss M., always work as a team and stay behind each other.”
I have a whole book bound from all 36 fourth graders from the school I taught at. I will be bringing it to the rehearsal dinner to share with family and friends. I am so glad I decided to this project, they also had to illustrate their advice. Any teachers out there that want to use this as an assignment, I highly suggest it, it makes for a great keepsake!
