Just booked a trip to the Polynesian for May 12 - 19!

This will be our first trip to that resort and we are very excited! We usually stay in the BC/YC area so this will be a different type of vacation. I am looking forward to spending more time at the Magic Kingdom since we'll be able to bop in and out at various times.

Any helpful hints from Polynesian experts??? Will be traveling with DH & DS (7...6 trips) & DD (3...4 trips)

We stayed there last year at almost the identical time you are going! Enjoy the new pool, its awesome! I think that specific time of year, early to mid May, is incredible, the weather, the crowds are low, and the flower and garden show at Epcot is stunning!!! Enjoy! :)

The new Volcano Pool is lots of fun. Make sure you order Tonga TOast for breakfast from room service or the Kona Cafe.

We were there last May and my kids were 2 & 4 and did not want to leave the pool to go to the parks.. We absolutely loved the resort and the location can't be beat..This May we are staying 5 nites off site and 4 at AKL. We have a new baby and I really wanted the space the offsite afforded and DH really wanted the AKL so we compromised...But do not worry your kids will love it. Have fun.

Take the time to enjoy the resort. It is so peaceful and relaxing. Enjoy an evening stroll to the beach to watch the fireworks. The torches are all lit and it is beautiful. Another favorite time is in the early morning when there are very few people out and about. The Poly is our favorite resort!! Have a great time!

Have you checked out Tikiman's web pages? If not I think he has a post a few pages back. He lists all the children's activities on one of the pages, ladybug release, torch lighting ceremony, and others. We will be back for the 4th of July and can't wait! Have a GREAT trip :) .
