They're really good. I like some better than others, but they really seem to capture who he really is. Not just those fake, posed senior portraits.

thanks. i hate those fake poses. i never pose anyone, i just try to get them comfortable infront of me, and then i take pictures of them being themselves

They're all pretty good, except I don't really like the 7th one.
I love the soccer ones. :)

I think action shots are definitely the best.

I like the one where he's balancing the soccer ball on his head.
Also, the one where you did the sepia tone with the color spotting, I think you should just highlight the tye instead of his blazer and jeans because it sort of trails the eye off of the photo. since the tye is in the center it balances well.
I love the second to last one, where he's balancing the ball. And I love 8th one down, too.
I wish you lived closer to me. I need a good senior picture this year. I'm thinking of telling Nora (my friend that I'm taking to WDW in August) to just keep her eye out and if she ever sees an opportune shot of me to take it. I'd love to use a pic from WDW as my senior shot.

I think you should have ironed the background sheet and made sure it was straight and un-wrinkle-y. It makes it look completely unprofessional and something that you were just screwing around with instead of actually taking senior pictures.
I also agree with the above poster about the tie being the only thing colored in that photo.

I don't like the ones in the beginning as much as the soccer ones at the end. Those are really great!

i would have, but do you realize how large those things are? i don't own a steamer, and it would be impossible to iron a stark white 30'x50' sheet of muslin without making it filthy, then transporting it.
i don't really have the money to buy a steamer either.

To be honest, they look a little armature. The quality isn't great, the lighting isn't flattering to the subject and you used a sheet instead of seamless which is distracting.

I like the first two, Ralph Lauren polo with the lighting on his face and all of the soccer ones.
The one of him and Zach isn't the greatest though, Zach's eyes are closed. Smile is nice, but closed eyes (I do this a lot when I smile, I remember when I was little that it always took forever to get a decent picture because I was either squinting or my eyes were closed).

They are great pictures! Espescially the ones of him with the soccer ball. Are you using a camera that is hooked up to a light that flashes when you take the picture?

thanks.
my lights are set to slave mode. so when my camera light flashes, my two stand lights flash in tandem.

zach ALWAYS does that. if he's smiling, he's got squinty eyes.

On the photos where youre shooting is profile from the side you may want to bact your light up a bit, the light just looks a bit harsh

i noticed that too. and its not necessarily the distance the light is from the subject, i think for those shots, i wasn't using a dampener. i ended up switching about halfway through the shoot. i was having some trouble with lighting. i was having to shoot in a dark room, with the only light coming when my flash goes off. the joys of working in a bed room. lol
