I just switched from Photoshop to Paint shop X2 and have wasted many hours of my day trying to figure out how to how to add - an outline in the color of my choice around text.    I couldn't find anything in the tutorial.
Does Corel have a function to do this? Advice and instructions would be greatly appreciated. I am going to take a cold shower to see if I can Unfry my brain and then try to accomplish something on todays list.
Thanks.....Hopefully I am not up all night trying to figure it out.

I have Version 8 so it might be different, but when I go to add text there is an option for stroke width. If you raise that from 0, it creates an outline around the letters.
Here's what it looks like on mine:

I use PSP7 (I've never bothered to upgrade, though I should.) and in case anyone else is looking for this answer, I'll just write what I do:
1. Create a new document with the background being the color you want around the text.
2. Use the text tool to type your words, create the text as a SELECTION, not as a vector or outline.
3. While the text is still selected, go to Selections > Modify > Expand.
4. Set the value to 1. It will expand your selection to cover your text and 1 pixel more (which includes your background color).
5. Now just copy all and paste into your original image!
Hope that helps!
