I have a ressy at VWL from 1st September for 8 nights then Vero for 3 nights. But, I have just found out that Sept 2 is Labour Day, so I suppose the parks will be busy. We are not intending to visit the parks on that day but, I was wondering if they will be busy for many of the days that follow and would I be better staying at Vero first?

By the way, what is Labour Day? Is it like a Bank Holiday?

Thanks.

of all the holidays - labor day is the least crowded - not crowded at all - but the following day the hours are changed - and everything closes early (except Epcot).

so if the MK closes at 9:00pm suddenly it will close at 6:00pm
so make sure you know when everything closes and beaware that this happens.

It is consider off season.

Labor Day is a national holiday.

Here's a brief summary: "Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. "

Banks are closed, stores are open (with their summer clearance sales!).

Generally kids start back to school in August sometime, but most students do get out for Labor Day, so you may have some weekend trippers, but by Tuesday I would think the crowds would diminish.

We went Labor Day last year and it was FANTASTIC crowd-wise! We are used to less-crowded seasons (October, early May, early December) and it was not bad at all. Maybe a little more crowded for the holiday weekend due to local traffic, but not bad at all. I will warn you though, it was HOT, so be prepared!
