Anyone know much about PT Mugu NAS? Or a beach near it?

We will be going to DL soon but want to stop at a beach near Pt Mugu or some place in the basic area. Anyone know much about the area and or a nice beach to stop at?

Its been awhile but we were stationed at Pt Mugu and DL was quite a bit away from there. There was a beach about 9 miles south of Pt. Mugu along the pacific coast highway.
Unless they have built a new Navy lodge the one on the Seabee base is a lot better. Sorry I couldn't help with more info but did enjoy our time there.

I am not a local, but I was in that exact region about a week ago. We visited Port Hueneme Beach, which is only a few miles away from Point Mugu. It was a beatiful beach and seemed well cared for.
