It's very unlikely that anybody would be able to make a booking that specific with this little notice... AKV is popular enough (with little capacity so far) that you have to book several months ahead ...and be unfussy about which type of accomm you'll get if it's much less than 7 months notice.

We booked hol in sept - made booking in early June - we wanted a week in any type of room at AKV but the only room available was a studio for first 3 nights. We'll then switch to other resort.

Also, not sure what you mean by 'villa' - do you mean 1-bed?

When I wanted to book 2 nights DVC towards the end of September there was only SSR left. If you've got your heart set on Animal Kingdom Lodge you'll have book a room through the central resercation office.

when this was posted i didnt know how the system works, i think i do now. ive now booked direct with disney just for one nights at akl, will look to rent dvc points for a week in akl next year. when should i start looking if i wanted to go oct 09? thanks

Glad you managed to get what you need for this year :)

The DVC booking system allows owners to make reservations 11 months in advance of stays at their home resort (the resort where they hold their points), and 7 months in advance for stays at other resorts. So ...when should i start looking if i wanted to go oct 09? thanks
someone with AKL points could make a reservation for Oct 09 in November 08.

As an AKV owner, I might suggest that you start communicating about renting well before the 11 month window opens. AKV is really popular right now.

I have some folks who have already put down deposits with me for Dec. 2009 stays.

i booked with Disney direct for one night now for this September,2008..but hope torent for Dec 09 at AKl for three nights, if anyone knows of any points avilable or when i should be enquiring
