Beach Club Villas Gift

I am new to posting on the boards, but I have been reading them for well over a year now.
Any way, I recently did an add on at the Beach Club Villas. I was wondering if anyone else got a Vacation Club back pack for their purchase. I had not read any threads stating that we would get a gift for buying in. Just curious! I was pleasantly shocked when we got it from the fed-ex man last week.

We got a backpack and a BCV Lithograph for joining DVC. :) Excitement all around!

I was very surprised when I got my backpack and litho. I love them both.

We only got the litho. I was thinking that we didn't get the backpack because we did an add-on versus a 1st purchase. Is this the case? Or should I be calling my guide about the backpack??

The bag is usually only given for a first time purchase.

Did BCV add on last week and got litho and the backpak! First time for add on that we got anything but the bill!!

I did an add on with a different use year.. So since it was like a new contract my guide said I got the backpack too. (he said it was only for new contracts)

Just wondering if the number of points purchased for add-on made a difference. We purchased 100 add-on points and only received the litho. We thought that we would receive the backpack when we closed. Do you think I should call my guide?:confused:

Hi Everyone!

We feel very lucky...we rec'd litho AND backpack! But Best of all...We also rec'd an AUTOGRAPHED photo from Mickey & Minnie standing in front of "my" castle...It is BEAUTIFUL! This came in a card with a lovely note from our guide, Mary!

We purchased 210 pts/BCV! Oh, Happy Day!:D

We first got the litho with our documents. Hubby called and asked our guide for the backpack. We got the backpack a couple of days ago. We added on 214 pts at BCV, but only got the litho with our documents. So if you want the backpack call and ask your guide. the backpack is nice it is blue with brown leather trim and has lots of pockets on the inside and of course it has the DVC logo on it. Along with the backpack, there was a Mickey hand luggage tag attached.:earsgirl:

I agree with DVC Lady. We did a 300 point add-on at BCV and only received the litho. Then we heard about the backpack. My DH called our guide and very nicely asked about getting a backpack. Sure enough, our guide made sure we got one--it arrived a week or two ago.It seems to me that if you add on points--and the number you purchase is the same or larger than the minimum number of points for a new owner-- you should get the "gift." So--if you think you'd like a backpack, call your guide and see if he/she can be of help. Good Luck!
