Hi

I've been over the actual easter weekend and it was very busy as it's Spring Break in the US. This year we went in the UK school holidays which fell outside of Easter 5-18 April and it was still very busy.

The crowds at both times were nothing like Christmas and New Year but the main rides were approx 1 hour plus wait and fast passes ran out early in the afternoon for the whole day.

I think that March and April are both very busy months and this has been my actual experience. But we still had a great time and just took advantage of the park earlies and lates.

Unfortunately for us it's either Christmas, Easter or August, which ae all busy times.

Whenever you go you'll still have fun though

Hi,

It's extremely busy, especially Easter weekend, however find the weather more suitable as the summer is far too hot for me.
We go next April 7th, so plan on getting to the parks early and hope to stay on site for part of our holiday.

Agree with Julie about the weather-it is great that time of the year.Perfect for us.

As for going Easter in terms of being busy-YES it will be busy, but not as busy as what Christmas is(i am only going by the boards for being busy at Xmas as we have'nt been then). We don't agree with taking our dd7 out of school for holidays(only if it menas misisng 1-2 days not a full week or more),so only term time hols are good for us+everytime we would choose Easter.Would rather have the crowds than the heat+humidity of say July/Aug/Sep hols.
As long as you get to the the parks for rope drop+hit the big rides first, use fastpass you will be fine.Whether your staying onsite/offsite if need be take a break around lunchtime+come back later in the afternoons. Also if you're not interested in the parades that is also a good time to hit the main rides as well,as everyone else will be watching them.x.

When we visited in 2007, our last full day was on the Thursday before the Easter weekend. We spent the day in MK and it was absolutely packed :scared1: So busy in fact that cars in the parking lot were actually parked up on the grass verges - never, ever seen that before

Weather was fine. High temperatures and low humidity :woohoo:

We're going Easter 2009 as we wanted a Florida fix but didn't want to use up too many of DH's valuable holiday days! We're staying at Universal over the Easter weekend so hoping our FOTL privileges will help counteract crowd issues. We're also thinking of pre-booking a tour at Busch Gardens and a cabana at Aquatica... :goodvibes

I'm not too concerned TBH - we're pretty relaxed holidaymakers and always happy to go with flow... :thumbsup2

Haven't been at Easter time myself but spoken to friends who have and they experienced 90 minute queues for most of the rides and long wait for table at restaurants. Wouldn't put me off though if the only chance to go as better then than never !

We've just booked for the first 2 weeks of April '09 to fit in with school holidays. :goodvibes

We're not to bothered about the crowds as we've been to WDW plenty including busy holidays like the 4th of July, Christmas and New Years. The plus point for us at this time of year is the weather. :cloud9:

Hiya,

we went April 7th to 17th this year - Easter itself was earlier, but can tell you the weather was fantastic, warm not stifling, low humidity - REALLY, REALLY, REALLY nice.... :goodvibes

Others have said it was busy this year, but we found it depended on when you went to which parks - we paid for a Tourguide Mike subscription - discount through the park strategy etc board, and it was invaluable - he is right with his evaluations of quietest parks etc. Cost less than a guide book and we got more from it. Only really busy day we had was a hot Saturday at Seaworld (who would have thought it eh??:rotfl:) Easter Weekend itself will of course be really busy anywhere, but it is in the UK too...

Also, they may run the Pirates and Princess parties again - we went and had the time of our lives - no lines, loads of loot, loads of characters - real party atmosphere, great fun
- the kids stayed up till midnight with no problems and still talk about "The best fireworks in the whole wide world - EVER"
