Where to eat in Reading?

On Monday I am heading to Reading for a course related to work, we are staying overnight at the Travelodge in the city centre. So my question is where is nice to eat and have a few drinks?

How far away is the Oracle from Oxford Road?

The Oxford Road is a really long road but it ends/starts in the town centre. Some parts of it aren't so nice though so I wouldn't recommend walking their alone at night. I think there might be two Travelodges on the Oxford Road.

if you are at the travel lodge at the top end of the oxfor rd in( town) the oracle is 5 mins walk if its the travel lodge at the bottom end its quite for and not the best place to be walking at night
I think the address of the travelodge in town is 60 0xford road and the one at the bottom is 648 oxford road
