:dance3: We are! We are flying in on the 23rd and have 2 rooms reserved for room only reservations for that night at the ASSports. I have to check out and back in for our free dining packages. I am hoping I don't lose precious park time waiting to get checked back in. I also hope we don't have to move to new rooms. Has anyone else had experience with the process?

We are going to leave at 6am on the 23rd and drive until dinner, which will hopefully get us all the way to Savannah. This is best case scenario, of course. If we don't make it that far then I guess we'll be staying over somewhere in SC, though I'm going to have to research that a bit more. Did you get a AAA trip-tik?

Yes, I use the AAA trip-tik online- put in all the scenarios.. very helpful. We will try and leave on 8/22 6am, I am hoping we will make it to kingsland GA so the trip next day is only around 3 hrs. As far as the way back will probably stay somewhere in SC or NC since won't be leaving so early from WDW. It is so hard to look at a map and decide where to stay. Coming home is labor day weekend so I figured would be a good idea to make reservations ahead of time. But we can always cancel along the way and keep going further.

Right! I didn't even think about the hotels being filled up because of Labor Day -- duh! I guess I should figure out where we're staying on the way back. We'll be leaving late that day too, (and I'm sure we'll be a little depressed :( ).

First trip for the kids ages 5, 4 and 1! My first trip staying onsite since 1976 or 77 at the Polynisian with my parents!

Right now we are trying to figure out what to do those first 2 nights as our park tickets won't kick in until the 24th. We figure there is no way we can go near MK with the kids. That would be cruel! Imagine going all that way and showing them the castle in the distance but "Hey not today!"

We also will be celebrating DD's birthday while we are there. She turns 6 the following week but I will have a cake for her at 1900 Park Faire the night of the 24th. Our anniversary is the 26th so we will celebrate at Ohana's since we went to Hawaii on our honeymoon.

We are dealing with the same issue. We are checking in at CSR on the 21st (late afternoon) and we won't get our Park Hoppers until our re check-in on the 24th. A couple suggestions:

1) If you don't have the water parks already added to your Magic Your Way tickets, go to Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon on your ticketless day. If you only plan to visit the water parks once, this is a better deal anyway. We'll be at Blizzard Beach on the 23rd.

2) Downtown Disney - enough to do there to spend a day. We'll hang around and explore our resort a bit, too.

That's our plan for both our ticketless days on the 22nd and 23rd.

We are arriving on the 22nd and our "package" starts on the 24th also. We are having a DTD and lazy resort day for our first day, then on the 23rd we are going to St Pete's beach for the day! Fun Fun! We were going to Universal Studios/IOA but decided to do that during the week vs Saturday due to the crowds. But still it's a fun option!
