Any comments on this hotel? We're considering staying here for a few days to relax before our disney vacation.

This hotel got a decent review in my Frommer's Florida book.

I believe the location is excellent on the Gulf.

They are also in the AAA book. Other hotels in the area are the HI, Hilton, Radisson, Sheraton.I did some research on the area cause we may go there in Jan. The Radisson is the only all suites hotel in the area.

Thanks. I'm staying there mainly because of the entertainment rate of $79 per night gulf view or $99 waterview room. The Radisson and Hilton were priced around $165 w/the entertainment rate. I'd rather save my $$$ for disney!:D

They also charge you to park in their parking garage. I believe it was $5 per night last summer. We were not informed of that prior to check-in.

I haven't stayed here but stayed at the Tradwinds Island Grand (there are 3 different Tradewinds) for 109 Ent. rate with ""OCeanview. Very nice property and it does come up on priceline.

Just got back from Clearwater Beach- wish they had that rate last week- I was quoted $300 per night. It looks like a nice hotel from the outside. Be careful with the roundabout- we hadn't been there in 4 years and we were warned about the horrible accidents that have happened there and once you see it, you understand why. We ended up booking the Ramada on expedia. I would never recommend anyone to stay there, we lost one night payment, but were willing to loose the money instead of staying there. The room was filthy, the shower had mold and mildew- not pretty at all! We actually stayed at the new Holiday Inn at Dunedin, which turned out to be a great location, right on Alt 19 and gave us quick access to both Clearwater Beach and Honeymoon Island. It was also close to the Sponge Docks (and Countryside Mall!!) Also remember that the northern part of the beach is quieter than the south part.

and we stayed at the Holiday Inn, just a few doors down, but we ate there a few times, and enjoyed the reggae band outside. It seemed very nice, and the people we talked to that were staying there liked it alot.

The Radisson & Sheraton are top notch, but on Sand Key, vs. Clearwater Beach. I understand that there is a Holiday Inn Sunspree as well, that is very nice and not as pricey. (My sister is a manager at the Radisson, and her significant other is a manager at the HI)

We love Clearwater Beach and stayed there many times prior to moving to FLA.

Enjoy!
