Hello all ... as the day gets closer ... I keep coming up with new questions ... today's question is: What is an appropriate carry on bag? Are the pilot's cases that most people use for weekend trips a good idea? (has wheels, passes as a carry-on on to the airlines-- fits in the overhead compartment) That might be too big though ... arrrgh ... I hate being *nuts* about these things ... Thanks for not laughing at another lame question ... :o

I think a little suitcase on wheels would be fine - easy to drag around. A backpack is good too. Great to carry sightseeing, to the beach etc.

Is the luggage limit, 2 pieces per person, including carry-on, or just checked luggage?

2 bag limit refers to checked baggage ... I don't think there's a limit on carry-on except to know that there is limited storage space in your stateroom ... (but from what I hear DCL's staterooms are big compared to other cruise lines)

Is this a two bag limit per stateroom, or per person?

Thanks!

The two bag limit for check baggage is per person. I don't think there is a limit to the number of carry-ons but you do have to be able to carry them around with you until your room is ready. We carried on our rolling cooler and backpack/day bag.
